After the divorce, my mom set me up with someone new. He's an engineer, good-looking, well-off, and never home because he's always working. The only flaw is that he has a son who's mentally unstable. My mom asked if I'd mind being his stepmother. I laughed. It seemed even better than having my own, and without the pain. I'll take that.
