I'm not particularly intelligent, but the neighbor's son is a once-in-a-century genius. While I buried myself in endless studying to get into a prestigious university, he skipped classes to date the school's beauty and was courted by top-tier universities. I spent countless hours in the library and just missed out on the graduate school spot by a single mark. He casually skimmed through some books before exams and effortlessly claimed first place in his department. Whenever my parents scolded me, they would twist my ear and say, "Look at Arthur! He's just human—why are you so much dumber?" ... My whole life had been lived under his shadow, and the moment I graduated, I couldn't wait to leave home and escape. For three whole years, no matter how hysterical my parents were on the phone, I didn't go back. Then, on the eve of the fourth year, I returned to my rental apartment with shopping bags and saw him at the door. He was leaning against the wall, his voice soft as he asked, "Why don't you come home?" I didn't answer. His gaze darkened slightly as he continued, "Come back. Your parents miss you... so do I."
