Chapter 13

　　When we came out, Sophia had already led the police to arrest everyone in the villa.
　　Leopold, fresh from berating his mother over the phone, had just returned and was immediately apprehended.
　　Thaddeus?
　　Still unconscious in the alley. No trouble there.
　　As for the CEO...
　　Apparently, when they found him, he was being cornered by the terrier, crying out for mercy.
　　The moment he saw the police, he clung to their legs, sobbing with relief. But as soon as he was saved, they slapped handcuffs on him.
　　Yikes—
　　I could picture it clearly.
　　Everyone was hauled to the station. When the police heard their stories, they exploded in anger.
　　"Maribel is just a student, and you've done this to her? You're worse than beasts!"
　　Leopold's face turned pale as he gasped for air, unable to speak. His health was so poor that even running a few steps left him struggling to breathe. I was genuinely worried he'd collapse right there in the station.
　　Thaddeus tried to feign innocence:
　　"Officer, I'm innocent! I wasn't after Maribel. I like her mom's type!"
　　The CEO, equally indignant, added:
　　"Me too! I just wanted to kill the dog!"
　　Their words shocked the entire precinct.
　　Is this human depravity?
　　Or the collapse of morality?
　　The station quickly ordered a full disinfection, just in case.
　　This anti-crime operation was a massive success and caused a huge stir.
　　No one had expected a renowned CEO and a top student to be involved in such heinous acts.
　　It was appalling.
　　Leopold's mom and I received awards for our assistance.
　　Sophia's outstanding performance earned her a well-deserved promotion.
