Chapter 11

　　When I was tossed onto the soft bed, my whole body felt limp. My legs were tightly wrapped around Sebastian's waist.
　　"Touch it."
　　"What?"
　　"My ears."
　　The eavesdropping system had no words left. This was the first time it had seen its host so exposed, so it reluctantly went offline. Sebastian's voice was hoarse, laden with temptation as he said, "There are no ears."
　　"No ears?" I reached up to touch the top of my head. There really weren't any. I giggled and said, "They're hidden. Wait for me to find them for you."
　　The next moment, two furry ears popped up from the top of my head.
　　Emery reached out, lightly flicking the ears before teasingly leaning into my ear, "What else is there besides ears?"
　　I Janeted blankly for a moment, thinking, then replied, "A tail. Do you want to touch it?"
　　The fluffy tail curled around Emery's waist.
　　The string in Emery's mind snapped in an instant. He began kissing me all over, breathlessly and intermittently.

　　When I woke up again, it was already dusk.
　　As my consciousness slowly returned, I realized what had happened. It was over.
　　Emery knew about my ears and tail! I couldn't stay in this world anymore.
　　Just as I was looking dazedly at the setting sun, Sebastian pushed open the door and walked in, standing beside me.
　　"Piper, no matter what you are, I will love you," he declared with deep affection. But my heart was in turmoil. I didn't love him. I knew clearly that I didn't love him.
　　At most, I had some affection for him, but those feelings meant nothing to a tasker like me. I wouldn't stay just because of that.
　　"The person who hurt you was taken by Percival, but don't worry, I won't let any of them go." He embraced me from behind and buried his head in my neck.
　　But in my mind, I was thinking: [System, when can I leave?] [I've submitted the leave request. It should be tonight at the earliest.] I clenched my fists, ignoring the slight reluctance in my heart.
　　If it weren't for last night's indulgence, I would actually want to stay a bit longer, just to be with Sebastian for a while. There was no other reason—it was simply because he was good in bed.
　　"Piper, come with me to a place tonight."
　　Since I was leaving soon, I agreed to this small request. After freshening up, I wore a red halter dress.
　　Piper wore meticulous makeup, even blending away the small marks on her chest with concealer. Her long brown curls were loosely styled, falling effortlessly behind her.
　　Looking at the woman in the mirror, full of charm and elegance, I nodded in satisfaction. Tonight would be a grand farewell.
