Chapter 1

　　The smell of disinfectant in the hospital room was sharp and overwhelming.
　　My foster brother, Leopold Kensington, and his best friend, Evander, stood side by side in front of me. I shook my head, feeling like my mind was about to burst, and the scene before me seemed unreal.
　　"Where am I? Who am I?"
　　Leopold Kensington thought I had amnesia, so he quickly pointed at Evander beside him, a hint of mockery in his gaze as he explained: "You are my sister, Larissa, and this is your boyfriend, Evander."
　　I stared at Evander in shock.
　　His cold, brooding features were lowered, and there was a trace of sadness in his eyes. He deliberately avoided looking at me, though his gaze subtly lingered on me.
　　There was an unmistakable hint of restraint, just like in my past life.
