Extra Story 2 (Lucian POV)

　　Lucian had not thought about his past life for a long time.
　　Then that man had found him, wanting to groom him to take over the family business. Lucian had wanted to refuse.
　　But that man seemed to know him well, saying that he could arrange for Lucian to marry Marie.
　　"You like her, don't you? Come with me, and you'll have the chance to stand beside her."
　　Marie—he looked down at his faded cuff.
　　He had once liked a girl, but that girl had said all illegitimate children were tainted.
　　From that moment on, his soul had been torn between loving her and the shame of his illegitimate status, leading him to the brink of mental collapse. Yet, he couldn't let go of his feelings for her.
　　She had run away from their wedding.
　　In the study, he had carved his body with a knife, one cut after another. He thought to himself, "I am really despicable. Even after all this, I still want to marry her."
　　Such a humble and filthy secret love. Marie must hate him. He was too afraid for her to find out.
　　They had a child, and for a moment, Lucian felt a deep sense of relief.
　　But soon, he realized something wasn't right. He couldn't trap her with the child. It wasn't fair to either of them. Not long after the baby was born, Marie told him that she had fallen in love with someone else. At that moment, his world collapsed.
　　He stood outside the window, greedily watching Marie's back as she walked away. The force pulling at his nerves once again took hold.
　　He finally walked into that small room.
　　And as the blood flowed out of his body, what he thought was...
　　He was finally clean.
