To put it simply, Yvonne was someone who would never have had the chance to even dream of getting close to Harrison, let alone marry him.
However, when Harrison Green was about 17 or 18 years old, he rebelled and ran off to race cars, which led to an accident that left him with a permanently damaged leg. Thanks to modern medical advances, he had a prosthetic limb and could walk without issue.
But when it came to family matters, it certainly put him at a disadvantage.
In the beginning, Yvonne used all her charms to play the innocent, pure-hearted girl, eventually winning over Harrison.
She successfully entered into the world of luxury.
But once she married into the family, she realized that Harrison Green's family treated her as nothing more than a breeding tool. She was given all the living necessities, including a monthly allowance.
But anything beyond that, she was not allowed to interfere with.
After giving birth to Bear, she believed that she had finally climbed out of the position of a mere housewife and had become something akin to a general. She started causing trouble, aiming to take control of the family's finances. Harrison's mother, Lady Green, had planned to guide her into family matters.
But, much to her surprise, within just six months, she had caused a string of issues.
Yvonne embezzled company funds to buy bags and jewelry, and secretly used a promissory note to get money to buy a house for her younger brother. None of that was the main issue. The real issue was that Yvonne had been going out with several wealthy women for leisure.
She booked several hosts while she was out.
Harrison was not a fool, and he proposed a divorce.
Yvonne refused to divorce, or rather, she was delusional enough to believe that she could use their son to leverage half of Harrison's fortune. She threatened to take their son with her if they divorced.
Harrison Green obviously disagreed.
The couple went to the civil affairs bureau to begin the cooling-off period.
While she was out having fun, Yvonne booked several hosts. Just like that, she started frantically looking for her next option. After much thought, she realized that while those hosts were good-looking, they were only after her money.
The best choice, naturally, was Jared, her childhood friend. He was easy to manipulate.
So, she took the kid and went to Jared.
At the same time, I don't know if it was because she had read too many romance novels, but she naively thought that Harrison was madly in love with her. She even believed that if she disappeared for a while, Harrison would go crazy and chase her back. She looked down on Harrison Green, who had lost a leg, but she looked down even more on Jared, who had no money. She had never respected him before, and she still didn't.
But, if seducing Jared would make me uncomfortable, she was more than happy to play that game.
She believed that her charm would make Harrison Green—that crippled man—unable to resist her, and that she could easily control Jared.
However, the final result was that she lost the lawsuit and was left with nothing.
The child's's custody was taken by Harrison.
Harrison Green acted quickly, sending the child abroad the very same day. It was only then that Yvonne realized she seemed to have nothing left.
Her family?
Her brother was engaged and, although things had seemed fine at first, once Yvonne's scandal with Jared broke, the woman he was supposed to marry hesitated.
Marriage meant a merger of two families, and with such a sister, who knew what might happen in the future? Her mother scolded her severely and kicked her out.
