I sat on the bed, reflecting on everything that had happened tonight.
Aside from Ismael's disorganized thoughts, our breakup today had been quite peaceful.
It didn't feel like the last time we'd meet.
Just like every other time we parted.
I closed my eyes, and Ismael's cold face appeared in my mind.
The same face I had seen for three years.
Could someone like this really scream in their heart?
I pulled the blanket over my head.
Three seconds later, I sprang up and booked an appointment at the hospital.
Either there's something wrong with me or with Ismael!
Maybe I hit my head too hard.
That night, I had a dream.
In the dream, Ismael was crying, saying to me:
"Honey—please don't leave me—"
In the dream, I did this and that to him, and he cried, begging me not to go.
I woke up from the nightmare, and it was seven o'clock in the morning.
I slid on my slippers and opened the curtains, sunlight pouring in.
Along with the warm light came a familiar male voice.
[Why didn't I go with my honey last night, sob sob.]
[I can't take it anymore. Who in the world is a CEO waiting downstairs all night, sneaking around like that?]
[Adeline, my baby, the street is so cold, sob sob. It's not cold anymore, but my heart is still cold. I need Adeline's hug to feel better.]
I: "?"
What's going on?
I lowered my head and, in a secluded corner by the community's green belt, saw a familiar car.
It wasn't the luxury car Ismael usually drove.
It was an ordinary car.
I often saw this car in the neighborhood.
The voice was coming from over there.
I carefully made my way downstairs, edging closer to the car, and through the unmodified glass of the car, I saw Ismael's face.
It really was him?!
[7:12 AM, my honey still has 48 minutes to get up, 78 minutes until I can see her.]
[562 minutes without seeing my honey, thinking about her.]
[563 minutes without seeing my honey, still thinking about her...]
I hid behind a big tree for five minutes.
I heard Ismael count from 562 to 567.
With a blank expression, I turned around and left.
Crazy, this world is insane.
