Chapter 10

　　After making two turns, the taxi Josh was in stopped.
　　I watched as he got into a stretch limousine parked by the roadside, and even the driver got out to personally open the door for him.
　　At that moment, my heart sank.
　　Josh…
　　He drove to a private club, and I noticed the name of the club.
　　I remembered this club not only required real-name registration but was also not open to the public. You had to be invited by a member to become a VIP.
　　Before I could think much more, I saw a young woman dressed in designer clothes waiting at the entrance.
　　When she saw Josh, her eyes softened, and she greeted him affectionately.
　　She embraced Josh, and his hand gently patted her back.
　　Even from the car, I could clearly see the faint smile on Josh's face.
　　The woman then leaned into him and linked her arm with his as they entered the club together.
　　I stared blankly at the empty door, feeling as though my heart had been stabbed with a knife.
　　I never would have thought that Josh would be the kept man of a wealthy woman.
　　Then what am I?
　　A gold-digger kept by a sugar daddy?
　　No wonder he gave me the million-dollar jewelry—it must have come from the hands of that rich woman.
　　The thought made me feel sick to my stomach.
　　This was my first relationship, and I'd fallen for such a huge trap.
　　It was laughable.
　　When I got home, I angrily had a drink and then called Josh to break up with him.
　　After Josh quickly rushed home, he prepared some hangover medicine for me and even tried to give me a massage, holding me close.
　　I coldly rejected him.
　　"Josh, have you been hiding anything from me?"
　　Josh quietly stared at me. After a moment, he shook his head.
　　"No."
　　Ha!
　　I let out a light laugh.
　　What a stubborn idiot.
　　Fine, if he wants to keep hiding it, then so be it.
　　"Break up!"
　　Josh sighed softly. "Eleanor, you're drunk."
　　I may have been drunk now, but two hours ago, I was perfectly clear-headed!
　　I saw him on a date with that rich woman. Not exposing him was out of respect for him!
　　"I just suddenly realized I don't like you anymore!"
　　"You're talking nonsense!"
　　Josh suddenly rushed over, holding me and kissing me.
　　In the past, he had been gentle with me, but now, he was like a wild beast, as if he wanted to break me down and absorb me into his body.
　　I couldn't break free and bit him hard.
　　Josh let go, wincing in pain, and looked at me with a deep gaze.
　　"Eleanor, I'm not breaking up with you."
　　With that, he lowered his head and kissed me again.
　　I think I must have lost my mind to go along with him.
　　Some things, once they start, are hard to stop.
　　When I fully sobered up, it was already late at night.
　　Josh was lying beside me, breathing steadily.
　　I carefully got out of bed, put on my clothes, and looked at Josh sleeping soundly. I gave a cold smile.
　　I blocked all of Josh's contact info, then pulled out a thousand yuan from my bag and left a sticky note:
　　"I'm bored, here's some money to help you recover."
　　"Goodbye (Never again)."
