Chapter 8

　　The butler quietly waited for me to finish eating before he finally began packing up the food boxes.
　　An impatient Genesis spoke up from the side. "When will Master Kaeden finish his business and come find me?"
　　My dad was just as excited. "If it's convenient, we can go visit him ourselves."
　　Ha, what a joke.
　　When have the woman's parents ever gone out of their way to visit the man's family?
　　Wouldn't that be embarrassing if it got out?
　　But of course, my parents didn't mind. They were the joke.
　　The butler lowered his eyes and subtly hinted, "That depends on whether you're willing."
　　Of course, they didn't understand.
　　Evelin eagerly responded, "We're more than willing, we can come anytime. Please let us know when he's ready!"
　　The butler said nothing, but let out a long sigh.
　　Evelin became anxious and pressed him further, while my parents scrambled to stuff a big wad of money into his hands. But the butler didn't even glance at it.
　　I chuckled softly. It was just too funny.
　　Taking advantage of someone's generosity, watching a good show, and feeling in a good mood, I decided to unblock Kaeden.
　　Not long after, Kaeden immediately video-called me.
　　His voice sounded a bit aggrieved. "Genesis, you haven't replied to me in three days."
　　I licked my lips, calling out sweetly, "Kaeden."
　　Instantly, Kaeden's face lit up with a smile.
　　Ha, men are so easy to please!
　　"I'm very satisfied with today's meal. I've decided to take you off my blacklist for three days," I teased.
　　Kaeden grinned, playing along, "Then I'll send you food every day."
　　I tilted my head and cutely said, "Dream on!"
　　Kaeden laughed at my reply. His sense of humor is ridiculously low.
　　Every time someone says Kaeden is cold, I just want to argue back.
　　Suddenly, Kaeden's expression became serious. "There's a plot of land in the west district becoming available tomorrow. It would be perfect for a spa and wellness center."
　　I quickly opened my computer and searched for it, my eyes shining.
　　"It's definitely a good plot, but there are too many competitors. I'm still a bit short on the price."
　　Kaeden's eyes glinted, and his lips curled into a smile. "That land is yours. I'm telling you."
　　His words, so light and casual, sent my heart racing.
　　This kind of domineering CEO is exactly my type!
