I walked up to Alden Everett, who took my hand tightly, gripping it with an intensity I couldn't escape.
As soon as we entered the house, he shoved me forcefully onto the bed, his fingers clamping down on my jaw.
"I haven't seen you cry in all these years, sis."
Alden's sharp gaze, filled with mocking laughter, locked onto me.
"What did he say to you, for you to cry like this?"
He raised his hand and disgustedly wiped the tears from the corner of my eye.
I instinctively tried to break free from him. "Alden, let go of me."
But he only tightened his grip on me.
"Do you like your older brother or your younger brother more, hmm?"
"Alden, it has nothing to do with Tate."
Alden let out a cold laugh, his eyes turning piercing.
"Five years ago, I kneeled like a dog begging you, and not a single tear fell from you."
"Brooks, even if you were made of ice, I'd have melted you. But what about you?"
He kissed me fiercely, biting my lips until blood seeped out, filling my mouth with the taste of it.
"You really look awful when you cry."
He ripped off my tie and blindfolded me with it.
That night, Alden went mad, asking me the same question over and over again.
"Brooks, did you ever love me?"
I didn't answer, and he tortured me again and again, forcing me to beg him each time.
