Chapter 10

　　The next morning, when my grandmother came upstairs to urge us to have breakfast,
　　Alexander wrapped me tightly in the blanket.
　　Help!
　　If an elder sees my bare shoulder, they'll surely guess what happened!
　　I buried my face in the blanket, cheeks flushed.
　　Alexander chuckled softly. "Alright, Grandma. We'll be right down."
　　Grandmother smiled brighter than usual. "Oh—good, good."
　　"But no rush, take your time."
　　"Take your time—"
　　It wasn't until she had gone downstairs that I finally crawled out from under the blanket, still blushing.
　　I suddenly met Alexander's gaze.
　　He looked at me with a smiling expression, his eyes soft.
　　I was about to look away, but he pinched my cheek, his voice hoarse as he half-whispered, "Honey."
　　I froze.
　　Drowned in Alexander's allure.
　　He didn't hold back, "Honey, I'll come back early tonight."
　　I was completely gone.
　　It took me a while to recover. I patted my flushed face and went to freshen up.
　　At the breakfast table, my grandmother was smiling widely, obviously enjoying herself.
　　Though she didn't say anything, the knowing look in her eyes made me blush deeply!
　　I spent the entire meal trying to hide my face in my bowl.
