Chapter 13

　　Actually, the day we kicked the stepmother and them out, I had returned to the country.
　　I stood at the bottom of the stairs, coldly watching my stepmother kneeling in front of my sister, crying and begging for forgiveness.
　　I watched those arrogant children, the ones who used to burn cigarettes on me, now grabbing onto my sister's legs, crying and begging.
　　"You can't just let us die. You're our sister, please..." I pulled a cigarette from Sebastian's pocket, lit it, and walked over with it.
　　In their terrified eyes, I flicked the ash. "Ten thousand for one, who will come?"
　　I saw the usual spoiled young masters, trembling, kneeling in front of me, raising their bare arms.
　　I held the cigarette, but couldn't bring myself to press it down. My eyes filled with blood, and it hurt to look.
　　I kicked them aside, tossed the cigarette away, and walked back.
　　"I still can't bring myself to harm others."
　　I muttered to Sebastian, who had followed me:
　　"What should I do? Am I too weak? They were so cruel to me back then—"
　　"You're just ruthless, not malicious." He said softly: "Don't compare yourself to them, Anastasia. Those bastards don't deserve it."
　　Hot tears streamed down my face, and I threw myself into Sebastian's arms, crying like a fool. "Since I was little, I've always thought my life was miserable."
　　"I have no mother, my father doesn't love me, my sister is in trouble, and everyone I care about ends up leaving me... Sebastian, is my personality really that annoying?"
　　He didn't answer me but instead asked:
　　"Do you remember the green balloon?"
　　"You said it was like the grass of spring. I didn't understand back then, but now I do."
　　"Anastasia, you're like the grass of spring, no matter how much you're bent or hurt, you'll always rise up stubbornly."
　　He hugged me tightly and whispered:
　　"You're wonderful. I love you too. Look, the people who care about you are all back by your side now."
　　"Anastasia, don't be afraid. I'll always be here for you."
