Chapter 9

　　By the end of the day, my identity had spread throughout the company. Everyone was talking about the CEO's capable and hardworking sister.
　　That afternoon, I received several messages from shareholders and executives who were either dissatisfied with my eldest brother or openly opposed to him.
　　Staring at the messages, I zoned out for a while before going to the study to find Quentin.
　　Cupping my face, I asked, "What should I do?"
　　Quentin glanced at the messages and, uncharacteristically, fell silent.
　　After a moment, he stroked my head and asked softly, "Stella, do you want the company?"
　　"What do you mean?"
　　"I mean removing your brother and taking over the company yourself. Do you want that?"
　　I froze.
　　To be honest, I had never considered it before. When I joined the company, it was just to learn something new. But standing on a higher platform... who wouldn't want to be in charge?
　　I nodded.
　　Quentin smiled faintly, though it didn't reach his eyes. He didn't look particularly happy but still gave me some advice, teaching me how to leverage these people to elevate myself.
　　I listened carefully, jotting down every word. At the end, Quentin stopped smiling and gently caressed my face.
　　He said, "Stella, I let you into the company to teach you management. Whatever you want to learn, I'm willing to teach you, and I can tolerate a lot.
　　"But you cannot put work ahead of me.
　　"If you dare prioritize work over me, you're finished. Understand?"
　　His tone was so cold and distant that it sent a shiver down my spine. Dumbfounded, I nodded.
