Chapter 8

　　My eldest brother initially didn't think I could achieve anything.
　　He only began to take me seriously during a meeting for a project that had taken five months to negotiate.
　　He received a frantic call from Blanche.
　　She claimed she was in severe pain and begged him to take her to the hospital.
　　Without a second thought, he left, abandoning a room full of employees who stared at each other in disbelief.
　　His blatant disrespect angered the client, and the deal was on the verge of falling apart.
　　Months of planning and sleepless nights by the team were about to go to waste. Everyone was fuming but too afraid to voice their frustration.
　　I sighed and stepped forward.
　　"I'm Miss Montgomery, the CEO's sister, and I hold five percent of the company's shares."
　　Smiling, I added, "I believe I'm qualified to continue the discussion on his behalf."
　　I had been involved in the project for a long time, and the client was familiar with me.
　　When I stepped forward, they looked briefly surprised, then smiled knowingly.
　　"No wonder Miss Montgomery's approach is so distinctive. You were raised by the Montgomery family."
　　The client clapped their hands, sat back down, and gestured for me to proceed.
　　It was mostly a formality. Everything was already clear, and by the end, the client even invited me out for a meal.
　　Over dinner, they sighed lightly:
　　"I thought the Montgomery family was running out of capable heirs. Who would have guessed that the one most like the old CEO would be a woman? Life truly is unpredictable."
　　I smiled faintly, saying nothing.
