Chapter 6

　　Sitting beside Laurence, I crossed my arms and watched him apply the medicine with a no-nonsense expression.
　　He feigned indifference, muttering, "I'm a grown man. This is nothing."
　　But his inner thoughts told a different story:
　　"Oh my gosh, Cecelia actually cares about me!"
　　"Even though the medicine is from the production team, it's proof she's worried about me. I have to keep it as a memento!"
　　After finishing, I saw him solemnly tighten the cap on the ointment and slip it into his pocket with an almost ceremonial air.
　　I blinked. "..."
　　Fine then.
　　Although I couldn't quite understand the sentiment, I still reminded him, "Laurence, remember to apply it twice a day, morning and night."
　　Later during the midday break, I sat on Laurence's bed with his tablet, scrolling through his social media.
　　As expected, anything related to him was flooded with hateful comments.
　　"Is Laurence even human? How could he treat an eight-year-old like this?"
　　"If you can't handle kids, don't exploit your sister on a show for profit!"
　　"That girl isn't much better, either. She's always crying or causing trouble. What a pair!"
　　Laurence walked over just in time to catch a glimpse of the comments.
　　His brows furrowed as he exited the app and handed me an anime to watch instead.
　　"You don't even know how to read, so what's the point of looking at that? Watch this cartoon instead."
　　But inside, he was feeling frustrated:
　　"These trolls can insult me all they want, but how dare they insult my sister? She's so young, so cute, and so thoughtful!"
　　"Luckily, my sister's only in second grade, so she can't read many words. How heartbroken would she be if she saw this?"
　　"I have to become famous all over the country before my sister grows up, so these trolls can all shut up!"
　　I focused intently on the cartoon, not showing any sign of being affected.
　　But in my mind, I thought: "Become famous all over the country, huh?"
　　Since that's his wish, I'll definitely help him achieve it.
　　Even if it's a way to make up for what happened in his past life.
