Chapter 1

　　"I don't want a brother like you! I want to go back to the Lothaire family! Get away from me!"
　　Before I even opened my eyes, I shouted these words..
　　Immediately, a voice filled with schadenfreude piped up:
　　"Laurence, your sister is so young, how can you be so harsh with her?"
　　"Exactly! She just came back to you from the Lothaires. It's normal for her to not be close to you yet. Why are you treating an eight-year-old girl this way?"
　　"If you were a better brother, she wouldn't be trying to return to her old family."
　　Slowly, I opened my eyes.
　　In front of me stood twenty-year-old Laurence.
　　His fists were clenched tightly, his face dark and menacing, as if he were on the verge of losing his temper.
　　Around us was a crowd of young men and women.
　　They were all glaring at Laurence with disapproval.
　　One of them, a girl named Seraphine Lothaire, held me protectively in her arms, cooing softly:
　　"Don't be afraid, Cecelia. Are you scared? Don't worry, your sister is here. I won't let your brother bully you."
　　Stunned, I stayed frozen in her embrace.
　　But then I heard Seraphine's disdainful thoughts:
　　"Ugh, this little brat is so annoying. If it weren't for her feud with Laurence, I wouldn't even bother."
　　When I glanced at Laurence, whose dark expression could terrify a child.
　　But then, I heard him say:
　　"Was I really that harsh? Did I scare her? I just want to hug her T﹏T."
