As the spotlight hit us, I felt an uncontrollable tremor run through my body.
It had been three years since I last stood on a stage.
Once upon a time, I was the Swan Princess, the most dazzling presence on any stage. But years of ridicule and suppression had stripped me of that pride.
I thought I'd never have the courage to step onto a stage again.
But as the music began, my muscle memory instantly came alive.
Seven years of dance training had engraved every movement, every expression into my very being.
Even though I'd only practiced this routine for two months, my performance was naturally far superior to everyone else's.
At that moment, the stares of my classmates faded into oblivion.
I immersed myself in the dance, the stage lights enveloping me, as I forgot the world, the pain, and the hurt.
Little did I know, this once-invisible figure had stirred a storm in the audience.
At first, the judges didn't even notice me.
But as the first part of the routine concluded, all their eyes were on me.
"That girl's dancing is incredible. Every movement is so natural and precise. She's not just performing; she's one with the music."
"Her expressions are flawless. She carries the aura of someone who's lived on the stage."
"Exactly. It's as if she was born for this."
My former classmates, who once mocked me, now watched in stunned silence. Even though they didn't want to admit it, they couldn't look away.
When they finally snapped out of it, many muttered, "Damn," under their breath.
How could they be captivated by a "fat pig" dancing?
But when they saw the astonished looks on students from other classes.
Suddenly, they felt much better.
"It's not just me. Frostie is actually that good."
"How can she dance so well? She looks amazing, like a completely different person!"
"Suddenly, I don't think Frostie is a fat pig anymore. Her slightly plump figure is perfect... Oh no, what's happening to me?"
