Chapter 10

　　The car stopped at the back gate, and I thanked Dr. Midnight before rushing toward the classroom.
　　It was only when I reached the classroom that I realized I had left the cheerleading uniform in his car!
　　At this point, it was impossible to go back to the rear gate—Dr. Midnight was probably long gone by then.
　　When I left, I had forgotten my phone.
　　I stood helplessly at the door of the classroom.
　　By chance, the class beauty and her cheerleading squad emerged.
　　Seeing me, they all wore surprised expressions. "Frostie, didn't expect you to actually come."
　　"Has she lost some weight after two months?"
　　Today, I was still wearing the same XXXL-sized school uniform from before, its loose fabric hiding my drastically thinner figure, and they didn't notice at first glance.
　　"No way, it's just been so long since we last saw her, you're just imagining things."
　　"Yeah, that's right. That fat pig must've gained weight over these two months, no doubt about it."
　　The class beauty tugged at the corner of her mouth, letting out a cold laugh. "Since you're here, come with us to change and put on some makeup."
　　Just as they were about to drag me along, I sighed and said, "My uniform's left in a friend's car. I'll go borrow another one from the school."
　　That was the best excuse I could come up with on short notice.
　　Unexpectedly, they were furious.
　　"Stupid fat pig, how do you lose your uniform? Why didn't you lose yourself instead?"
　　"Exactly, there's only two hours until the event, you must be doing this on purpose."
　　"Fat, timid, and forgetful—how can someone like you even exist?"
　　They looked at me with disdain, turning their pre-competition anxiety into spite and unleashing it all on me.
　　I fiddled with the hem of my clothes, wanting to retort.
　　At that moment, steady footsteps echoed from the end of the hallway.
　　Dr. Midnight appeared, holding my bag in hand.
　　The man, usually so gentle, now radiated a chilling coldness.
