"Ding, host, time to wake up."
Waking up with a hangover was a miserable experience. The system's incessant beeping in my head only made it worse.
Unfortunately, I couldn't get rid of it. Sighing, I resigned myself to the situation, got dressed, and took the map the system transmitted to me.
"Host, this is the location where you need to set up the delivery base."
In the post-apocalyptic world, there were many city bases, but each city typically had only one or two major bases, with smaller bases relying on them for support.
I only needed to choose a few key ones. These bases would then distribute supplies to the others.
Of course, I couldn't pick them blindly. I needed to inspect them first to ensure they wouldn't embezzle supplies or exploit the people.
The system thoughtfully provided me with a teleportation portal.
Given the existence of such a magical place as the paradise, the appearance of a teleportation portal didn't seem too far-fetched.
The leaders of the bases weren't overly surprised by my arrival.
In fact, when they heard about my intentions, they were overjoyed:
"I've heard so much about how amazing the Paradise Resort is. Unfortunately, my base has too many elderly and disabled residents who can't travel that far. I've always regretted it. I never expected you to come to us instead!"
"Delivery? That's quite novel, but we trust you completely!"
"As long as it means everyone gets to eat their fill, whatever you say goes, boss!"
Negotiations were quickly finalized.
Following the system's instructions, I installed teleportation portals at the major bases.
A few days later, the bases began sending in their orders for supplies.
Managing and verifying the supply orders turned out to be a massive undertaking. After some thought, I decided to delegate the task to Frederick's team.
They had significant influence at the Eagle Base and were adept at dealing with other base leaders, saving me a lot of trouble.
