Chapter 19

　　"Miss Ravenhood, is he your boyfriend?"
　　One of the young men who had earlier asked for Amily's contact information came over.
　　He was much better looking and came from a wealthier family than Kart, who seemed insignificant in comparison.
　　Kart's face turned red with anger. "I'm her fiancé. Who are you?"
　　The man hesitated for a moment. "But Mr. Ravenhood said Miss Ravenhood is currently single."
　　"I am single," Amily said, her tone flat as she looked at Kart. "You were the one who called off our engagement. Have you forgotten?"
　　Kart's face turned crimson. "I was just confused back then! Amily, I regret it now. We've known each other since childhood, we were so close. Please, give me another chance."
　　Amily's cold smile seemed eerily similar to mine.
　　"Kart, the only reason I agreed to be engaged to you was to stay close to Mrs. Ashwood. But now, there's no need. You've been kicked out by Mrs. Ashwood, and I feel nothing for you anymore."
　　"No, Amily, you're just angry. You really liked me!"
　　Kart exclaimed, his disbelief and near-collapse apparent in his voice.
　　Just then, a woman stormed in loudly through the door.
　　Her hair was loose, and her makeup was heavy. It was none other than Velvet.
　　"Kart, I knew you'd be here!" Velvet's eyes scanned all of us venomously. "Heh, what's the matter? Seeing that Amily is now rich and beautiful, no longer the helpless girl she once was, you're regretting it now?!"
　　The onlookers began whispering, and unfriendly gazes settled on Kart.
　　Kart's face turned red. "What are you doing here? Didn't we break up already?"
　　"Break up? You wish!" Velvet spat on the floor, rubbing her belly. "I'm already carrying your child. Unless you give me twenty thousand, don't even think about getting rid of me!"
　　"I already owe three million. Where the hell am I supposed to get twenty thousand more?!"
　　Kart jumped up, furious, cursing loudly.
　　Velvet gave up completely. "That's not my problem!"
