I was taken aback, "Didn't you always have a girl around you in college? I thought you two grew up together, like childhood sweethearts."
"Are you talking about Cloe Salas?" Jaydin chuckled, "It's true we grew up together, but we never dated, and I don't like her. I treat her as a sister."
"So you haven't dated anyone in all these years?"
Jaydin slowly rolled up his shirt sleeves and replied, "I've gone on some blind dates, had brief encounters, but if it wasn't a fit, I ended it."
"Oh... so nothing serious ever happened after that?"
I lowered my gaze, recalling his actions that first night.
It made his words seem much more believable.
"Sonia, I won't do that again next time."
Jaydin's sudden statement left me puzzled, "What won't you do again?"
He turned his head slightly, clearing his throat.
Maybe it was the temperature is high, his ears were shockingly red.
"You'll know soon enough."
Jaydin served me the garlic bread, "Eat up."
It wasn't until he took me back to the hotel.
After we had both freshened up, he carried me from the bathroom back to bed.
That's when I suddenly understood what he meant earlier.
But by then, I was already feeling like I was falling apart.
The hair by my temples had been drenched with sweat countless times, and even my fingertips were trembling from exhaustion.
Yet Jaydin showed no signs of stopping.
"Jaydin..."
I couldn't help but glare at him, but my eyes were misty, making me look even more enticing.
The way I called his name sounded more like a playful pout than true anger.
Jaydin leaned down and gently kissed me, "Sonia, are you feeling good?"
I shook my head, refusing to answer.
He didn't get upset, instead, his pace changed from a stormy rush to a slow, torturous gentleness.
I couldn't take it anymore, tears of physical exhaustion welled up and spilled from the corners of my eyes, "Jaydin..."
My nails raked down his lower back, my voice laced with an unbearable whimper.
"Sonia, tell me now, are you feeling good?"
Jaydin's eyes were reddened with restraint, his arm muscles tensed, and beads of sweat dripped from his forehead.
That feeling of almost reaching the peak, yet always falling just a little short.
It tortured me to the point where I started to softly cry out, "Yes, it feels good… it feels so good…"
His scorching hot palm gripped my waist firmly, his movements relentless and forceful like a conquering army.
The intensity of his actions shattered my voice into fragmented cries.
As my consciousness started to slip away, Jaydin whispered lowly in my ear,
"Sonia, if it feels good... then never leave me, okay?"
On Tripp's birthday, the gift I bought in H City was delivered to him by a friend.
Clayton was sitting on the sofa, smoking a cigarette, with more than half of his drink already finished.
The gift I bought for Tripp was something Jaydin and I picked out together.
It was a pair of antique cufflinks from a high-end brand that he really liked.
"These cufflinks are quite exquisite."
Tripp forced a stiff smile, glancing at Clayton's expression, and hurriedly told his girlfriend to put them away.
"Give them to me," Clayton suddenly ordered.
Tripp froze for a moment but didn't dare say anything. He quickly handed over the box.
Clayton stared at the pair of cufflinks.
The brand's logo was understated, not very noticeable, but Clayton kept staring at it for a long time.
