I thought I had an impact on him until Ciara called one night. That evening, he got completely drunk and locked himself in his room, refusing to let me in.
And I received a text from Ciara: "Do you think Kevin loves you? How ridiculous."
That was the first time I learned about Ciara.
It was at that moment that my heart, full of love for Kevin, was brutally trampled upon.
Taking a deep breath to suppress the pain in my heart, I took out my phone, found Ciara's number in my blacklist, and dialed it.
The call was answered quickly. Ciara yawned and said in a pinched voice, "Siena, why are you calling so late? Kevin and I are sleeping."
"Oh? Is that so?" I laughed coldly. "But your Kevin is hugging me and calling me 'dear'! You have half an hour to come and take him away, otherwise, I'll take him to bed."
I hung up the phone as soon as I finished speaking.
I didn't bother to tell her where Kevin was, Ciara would figure it out.
Jaime came out at that moment. Seeing Kevin holding me, he blinked and prepared to pretend he was sleepwalking and go back to his room.
I scowled. "Come here! Pull Kevin away." I really couldn't push him off.
"Okay."
But Kevin was strong, and the harder Jaime tried to pull him, the tighter he held onto me.
Feeling like I was about to suffocate, I stopped him. "Forget it, let's wait for Ciara to come!"
Ciara arrived quickly.
As soon as she arrived, she went to pull Kevin. "Kev, let's go home?"
But Kevin seemed to be too drunk to hear her, and he still held onto me tightly.
Unable to take Kevin away, she looked at me with accusatory eyes. "Siena, you're divorced. Can't you stop seducing Kev?"
This woman was more disgusting than Kevin.
"Where the hell did you see me seducing Kevin?"
Fed up, I looked at Jaime. "Bring a basin of water."
Jaime fetched a basin of water from the bathroom without understanding why. I took the basin and poured the water over Kevin's head.
The once elegant and domineering CEO instantly turned into a drowned rat, and the drunken haze in his eyes cleared.
"You jerk. If you're drunk, leave quickly. Don't bring your bitch around biting people everywhere."
Kevin came to his senses and clenched his jaw. His face quickly turned icy. "Siena, you called me jerk?"
The chill in his eyes was intense, and although I wasn't fearless, remembering everything that had happened, a surge of hatred welled up inside me. "Yeah."
"Siena!" Kevin roared. With his distinctively jointed hand, he grabbed my neck. "Do you really think I can't do anything to you?"
His grip was strong, and I instantly felt suffocated, unable to make a sound.
"Kev, calm down!" Jaime wanted to intervene but was afraid of inadvertently hurting me, so he could only stand by anxiously.
Feeling suffocated, I started to feel dizzy. I tried to pry Kevin's hand off with my hands, but against his strength, my efforts were futile.
Just as I was about to pass out, there was a "plop!" sound, and Kevin's forehead hurt.
He instinctively covered his forehead and released me.
Only when I was lying on the ground gasping for fresh air did I see that Grant, wearing his sleeping bag, had run out and shot Kevin with his toy gun. "Don't you dare hurt my mom!"
The childish voice caught Kevin's attention, and he walked toward Grant with a grim face.
Being a child, Grant was also afraid. "Stay away!" He shouted as he continued to shoot Kevin with his toy gun.
The first shot had been accurate, but now, the toy gun's force couldn't harm Kevin.
Seeing the fear on Grant's face, my heart ached terribly.
Still not fully recovered, I crawled over and hugged Kevin's leg, glaring at him fiercely. "Kevin, if you dare to hurt my child, I'll fight you to the death!"
