If I had known I would run into Kevin Lopez on the plane, I should have burned incense before leaving.
Six years ago, fresh out of university and just starting my career, I caught the eye of the company president, Kevin.
Under the assault of love, I quickly fell for him.
Only after we got married did I realize that I was nothing more than a replacement.
I served Kevin tea and water, washed his clothes, cooked for him, and learned all kinds of high-society manners, striving to be a worthy wife, thinking that would win his true affection.
Never did I expect that when Ciara returned, he would ask for a divorce.
While studying abroad with ten million, I discovered I was pregnant, with triplets - two boys and a girl.
"Mommy, who is that man? Why are you so mad?" Little baby's soft voice broke through my thoughts. I pinched her chubby little cheeks and said, "Why are you calling him 'uncle'? He's nothing but a scumbag!"
Hearing this, Kevin couldn't hold back anymore.
He stood up, taking long strides toward me.
Having been in a position of power for so long, his presence was commanding. At this moment, he was surrounded by a cold aura, his face ferocious.
Sensing the danger, the three babies hurried to block in front of me, saying in unison, "Don't you dare bully my mommy."
My grudge against Kevin was so deep that I almost forgot that Kevin wasn't exactly a patient man.
Afraid he would hurt my children, I quickly stood up, shielding my three little ones, and looked at Kevin bravely. "If you dare touch my kids, I'll tell Ciara that these three kids are yours!"
Sure enough, Ciara Humphrey was Kevin's weakness.
He gazed at me for a moment, pursed his lips, and silently returned to his seat.
Only then did I breathe a sigh of relief.
Kevin could be quite scary when he was angry. In the past, whenever he was upset, I wouldn't dare make a sound.
But things are different now. Not only do I dare to argue with him, but I also dare to instigate his children.
"Babies, if you see him again in the future, call him jerk, okay?" I lowered my voice and pointed at Kevin.
The triplets always obeyed. "Okay, Mommy."
"Such good babies~" I stroked the three little heads, feeling refreshed. My eldest child is named Grant, my second child is named Cruz, and my third child is named Ryland.
"Mommy, do you have a grudge against that…jerk?" Grant asked.
Though they were born around the same time, Emilee, as the older brother, seemed more mature, and he sensed something.
"Yes, I was tricked by him years ago, and I'm still stuck in that hole."
Hearing this, Grant touched his chin thoughtfully. "I see!"
As the plane was about to land, Second Treasure suddenly complained of a stomachache, and Grant suggested taking his younger brother to the restroom.
I wasn't reassured about Cruz, so I agreed.
But by the time the announcement for disembarking sounded, Grant and Cruz hadn't returned.
So, I took Ryland and went to find them.
I had just reached the restroom door when a sudden cry came from near the aircraft exit.
I turned to see the tall and upright Kevin stumble as he was disembarking, falling forward.
Fortunately, he was quick to steady himself. Otherwise, the top headline the next day would likely be: Shock! Mr. Lopez of the Lopez Corporation Overindulges, Stumbles and Falls Off the Plane.
