Chapter 13

　　"Pervert!"
　　I scolded him.
　　"I'm clearly a righteous pure black wolf."
　　He muttered quietly, his ears twitching on top of his head, swaying back and forth: "Pure black, it's really nice."
　　I didn't want to argue with him about this, sniffing, I asked: "When are you leaving my house?"
　　"I don't want to leave... at least wait until my mating season is over!"
　　He seemed a little angry, but also somewhat aggrieved, asking: "Whether in wolf form or human form, I'm good-looking and wealthy. I can raise many pups... Why do you dislike me so much?"
　　I shrank back slightly.
　　"Who would want to marry a wolf?" What if I get eaten?
　　He ate raw meat, drank fresh blood, and could crush bones—if he ate me, no one would even notice.
　　And his wolf form was so large. What if... I couldn't handle it? It could kill me! No, I couldn't.
　　Absolutely not!
　　"Don't want a wolf as a partner?"

　　"So, you wouldn't accept a wolf at all?"
　　"I can always stay in human form, and I won't let my tail or ears show. Would that work?"
　　I shook my head.
　　He pursed his lips, a flicker of anger flashing in his eyes.
