By the time I returned home, it was already late.
I put on my slippers, looked at the dark living room, and thought to myself:
[The werewolf should have already left.] I couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief.
I opened a can for the dog, stood up, and stretched lazily. Turning around, I saw a pair of resentful wolf eyes glaring at me.
"Ah!"
I stumbled backward, tripping over the dog who was eating the canned food, and hit my back on the corner of the table. The pain made my tears fall instantly.
"It hurts!"
"You deserved it."
The werewolf picked me up, placed me on the couch, and rubbed my sore back, his face cold as he said,
"Humans who are so indecisive deserve to be punished."
I didn't speak, sitting on the couch silently sobbing.
"Shut up!"
"Stop crying!"
"If you cry again, I'll bite you."
"You're still crying!"
"Alright, I won't cry anymore."
"We'll break that table and burn it for firewood."
"Baby, be good, don't cry, okay? If you cry, I feel bad too."
He nuzzled my neck with his head, and his tail wrapped around me, fluffy and soft, brushing against my face, wiping away my tears.
"If it still hurts, you can pull the fur from my tail." He swayed his big tail, trying to appease me.
I stared at the tip of his tail for a long time, then grabbed it with my hand, rubbing it against my face, pressing hard to try and wipe away every trace of my tears.
His face turned slightly red.
He knelt in front of the couch, speaking in a quiet voice:
"My mating season isn't over yet! Please, don't pull so hard—"
I expressionlessly grabbed the tip of his tail again.
"Baby!"
He howled, trembling, covering his eyes with his hands.
When he looked up again, his eyes were already teary, shimmering with moisture. I released his tail in response.
But instead, he quickly pushed the tip of his tail into my palm.
"You can pull a little harder."
He blushed and said, "It feels good when you tug, baby."
