"He's not a bad man."
I pushed him gently. "You go hide in the room."
"I won't!"
His face was filled with grievance.
"You're going to do something with him that I can't watch... you can't do this to me!"
Jealous werewolves are unreasonable.
The doorbell rang for a long time. I had no choice but to frown and warn him:
"If you don't go hide now, I'll never speak to you again."
He stared at me in disbelief, and for a moment, his eyes shattered.
"You're scolding me for a hideous man!" He began to cry again.
He wiped his tears as he slowly stood up, dragging his feet toward the bedroom, muttering through his sobs, "I'll be good, I'll be obedient, please don't ignore me."
I: "...."
I couldn't understand the werewolf's thought process.
I shook my head and stood up to open the door for my colleague.
The dog had somehow run out and was happily running circles around him.
"It seems like it really likes you."
"It does."
My colleague looked down at the dog, scratching its head, then looked up at the sandwiches on the table. He gave a slightly apologetic smile:
"I didn't realize you made sandwiches. I thought you hadn't eaten yet, so I brought you some donuts."
"It's fine."
I thought for a moment, then took the bag from his hand:
"The sandwiches can be for the dog, I was just craving donuts. Thanks."
