When the call came through,
Catriona was busy in the store, with Ruby and Sapphire helping out, "Once we wrap this order, we'll go have dinner."
Ruby and Sapphire responded happily with an "Aowu."
The phone rang, and Catriona picked it up with a smile, "I'll take this call..." She paused when she saw the note saying "Silly Wolf."
"Mr. Nightblade, what's up?"
In the phone, the man's voice was slightly cold, "I'm taking the cub to the Villa for dinner to meet my friends. Will you come?"
At the end, he added, "The cub hopes you'll come."
Hearing this, Catriona agreed without much thought.
As a father, Roderick bringing his son to meet his brothers and friends was normal, but Roderick calling her to come along probably meant the son didn't want to go.
She was just guessing.
Thinking about the son meeting a group of strangers and possibly feeling helpless, she felt it would be better if she were there as the mother.
So, she washed her hands and went into the small room to change clothes.
This small flower shop had a tiny room inside, equipped with a bathroom, which she had specially renovated.
Always running to the nearby supermarket to use the restroom wasn't practical.
She kept her clothes in the small room. Thinking about meeting Mr. Nightblade's friends, she didn't want to embarrass her son, so she put on some makeup and wore a fitting and beautiful long dress with a cinched waist.
Roderick said he would come to pick her up.
When she came out after changing her clothes, a brand new, pure black luxury car, shiny and gleaming, was parked quietly to the right of the entrance. It was the latest model of famous brand, priced at 130 million.
Catriona knew a bit about cars, and seeing it quietly parked in front of her shop—like a restrained, lurking beast—she paused, momentarily taken aback.
The next second, the car door opened, and a familiar young voice called out, "Mommy!!"
She watched as her little one came running down, dressed simply in a white t-shirt and loose black pants. He dashed over, grabbing her hand and looking up at her with eyes full of joy:"Mommy!!"
"Honey, did you come to pick up Mommy?"
"Yes, is Mommy tired?" He pulled Catriona towards the car, walked a few steps, then looked back at her, his lips curling, "My mommy is the most beautiful person in the world!"
Catriona smiled, "You're such a sweet talker, little sweet bean." Walking to the side of the car, she noticed that Roderick was driving.
Surprisingly, a child safety seat was installed in the backseat, which genuinely surprised Catriona for a moment.
She once again felt that Roderick really loved this child.
She also drove and observed that some parents found it troublesome or unattractive, saying that since children don't often go out, there's no need to install them.
Catriona didn't dare to take that kind of chance; her son was her life.
Roderick's attitude toward the child truly touched her. For a car of this price and beauty, he would just install it!
Along the way, Roderick hardly spoke to her.
Only when getting off the car did she receive a text message from Roderick.
Silly Wolf: [When meeting my friends, please try to speak less, thanks.]
Catriona paused for a moment but didn't mind, replying: [Okay.]
She had only come because she was accompanying her son and wasn't familiar with Roderick's friends, so how much could she say?
She understood what Mr. Nightblade meant.
He didn't want her to join his circle of friends.
To invite her to dinner must have been because the child wouldn't go unless she came.
She shrugged indifferently and got out of the car without interest.
Everyone has their own circle of friends, and she didn't want to introduce Roderick to hers either.
This guy isn't even human.
Who knows if his friends are humans or werewolves? She should be more cautious, considering the incomparable strength and combat power between pure humans and werewolves.
Cedric didn't know about the things among adults; he only felt that he had come to a particularly beautiful and spacious place with his parents.
The air was good, not noisy, and there were no unpleasant smells.
It felt like being in a deep forest, and he liked it here very much.
Catriona stared at the man leading the way, constantly speculating whether he was a werewolf or a pure human. When she came back to her senses, they had already arrived at the dining area.
As soon as they reached the entrance, four men looked over sharply.
Catriona suddenly felt a chill down her back. She hadn't felt this kind of pressure even when living with so many werewolves.
She immediately affirmed that these were not ordinary humans but werewolves.
These werewolves emitted the same aura as Roderick.
She has to wonder, how many werewolves have come down from the mountains, and how many are there in Capital!
Among them was a man wearing a white shirt, whose face seemed very familiar; she felt like she had seen him somewhere before.
"How long have you been here?" Roderick said, pulling the child's hand as he walked in.
He pulled out a stool next to him, glanced at Catriona, "Sit down."
Catriona sat down somewhat stiffly. She was relaxed in front of Black and the others, but here, she felt uneasy.
Seeing Catriona sit down, Roderick sat next to her with the child in his arms.
"This is my cub, whose human name is Cedric, four years and six months old."
After Roderick finished speaking, he glanced at Catriona beside him, his tone slightly cooler, "She is Catriona."
