They kissed for a moment, just about to deepen the kiss, when a knock sounded at the door.
"Dallas?" Tess's voice called out. "Are you there?"
Averi lifted her eyelids, breaking off the kiss. The proximity was so close she could see herself reflected in Dallas's pupils.
Dallas, on the other hand, was studying her expression.
Outside the door, Tess knocked twice more. "Dallas?"
There was still no answer. Tess was puzzled—had he forgotten to turn off the lights?
After the training session, she returned to her dorm to change clothes and casually asked Quinn to join her for dinner at Bella's Bistro in the evening. Quinn was the counselor at the School of Information and Communication. She wasn't in the dorm, most likely in her office. After Tess finished changing, she went to look for her and noticed the light was on in Dallas's office from afar. She wanted to remind Quinn before leaving not to accidentally spill anything. Yesterday, it was Quinn who suggested going to Bella's Bistro for dinner, and she had replied that she wanted to try something different. Today, upon hearing that Dallas and the others were going, she quickly changed her answer. Tess had always been excellent since she was young, the one who was always pursued. Playing such little tricks was already pushing her limits. When the lie came out, she felt a buzzing in her head from the nervousness.
And then... he turned out to be married.
As expected, Quinn teased her, and Tess blushed, letting her laugh. The two were good friends, so she wasn't worried Quinn would refuse.
After dealing with Quinn, Tess stepped out to use the bathroom. As she passed by, the memory of the light in Dallas's office popped into her mind, and before she knew it, she found herself knocking on the door.
After waiting a while, Tess felt a sense of melancholy, a feeling she couldn't quite describe.
Listening to the footsteps fade, Averi pressed her lips together, pushed Dallas's head down, and her tongue immediately slid into his mouth.
Dallas gripped her waist and pulled her closer, hoping her emotions would last a little longer.
It was the first time he had seen her like this, and he didn't want it to end too soon.
Their kiss deepened, breaths coming in quick bursts. Averi pulled back slightly, her hand resting on Dallas's waist, her gaze soft but intense, a slow, teasing rhythm in her touch.
Finally, she took his hand and bit his ring finger playfully.
She didn't think much of him, but turns out he's quite the ladies' man.
Her kiss had left Dallas's lips moist and slightly swollen. His normally sharp eyebrows had softened, and he looked like he could drown anyone with his gaze.
Seeing the look in his eyes, Averi restrained her expression and moved back.
Dallas pulled her closer, his arms tightening around her. He looked calm, but the tension in his body told another story, his arousal pressing against her lower stomach.
Averi raised an eyebrow and teased, "Dallas, something strange is pressing against me."
Her emotions pulled back.
Dallas wasn't ready to let go, so he pecked her lips and asked, "Aren't you happy?"
Averi glanced at him without answering.
Dallas rested his chin on the top of her head, inhaling the pleasant scent of her hair. He closed his eyes lightly and said, "Averi, I'm really happy."
His tone was unusually serious as if giving a report.
The heat of his breath scorched her ear, sending a shiver down her spine. Her body tingled, and the feeling spread deeper. She tilted her head slightly, deliberately misinterpreting his words. "So your pleasure is built on my frustration, huh?" she teased.
Hearing her playful teasing, Dallas almost smiled. He didn't explain but instead sighed deeply, "Averi, my biggest wish is to make you happy and content."
Averi's breath became heavier as she struggled slightly, but the more she resisted, the tighter Dallas's arm became.
Her voice was a mixture of annoyance and softness, "Got it, let me go."
Dallas, with a serious expression, said, "No."
A soft huff escaped Averi's nose as she thought to herself, Whoever said serious people don't know how to flirt clearly never met him.
She pushed gently against his chest, her voice soft but firm. "You should be heading to dinner."
"I'm not heading there."
"Why not? It's your night to be celebrated. As the team leader, you can't skip out on it."
Dallas was quiet for a moment before replying, "Then let's go together."
Averi shook her head. "There's a stranger there, and no one can really relax and talk. Besides, I don't have much in common with them. It's after work now, and I don't feel like socializing."
She looked up at him, her expression calm. "Dallas, you have your life, and I have mine. Just because we're married doesn't mean either of us has to give up our own path to force ourselves into each other's world. It's great if we can blend in, but if we can't, then we don't."
Dallas pressed his lips together, tightening his hold on her again. His soft, thin lips came down on hers, kissing her deeply with tenderness.
His tongue pressed against the roof of her mouth before moving to gently lick her lips, the kiss full of lingering affection and even a hint of seduction.
Averi let out a low, soft moan in the long kiss, both restrained and sensual. Dallas's stomach tightened, his lips trailing down to her neck, his hands fumbling for the zipper of her skirt.
Averi, her breath shaky, reminded him, "You're going to be late."
Dallas didn't lift his head. "I already let them know. I'll be a bit late."
"Dallas, what are you planning to do?" Her lips curled into a teasing smile, the question lingering in the air with a touch of playful ambiguity.
Dallas didn't answer, too focused on finding the zipper. When he didn't, one hand slipped under the hem of her skirt.
Averi squeezed her legs together to stop him. "No, I don't want to drive home with your cum dripping down my legs."
The image flashed in Dallas's mind—her driving while white fluid leaked from between her legs. His desire surged instantly, his Adam's apple bobbing as he said, "I won't shoot inside."
He had no intention of letting go.
Averi, infected by his eagerness, felt her voice go husky. "Dallas, how do you plan to explain your lateness?"
How could he explain? That he had let his desire take over and taken his wife right there in the office?
Her voice was low, her words trailing off with a seductive undertone.
Dallas felt the heat rise in his chest, his hands sliding her skirt up to her waist. His palms traced the smooth, taut curve of her legs as they moved upward, finally resting on her hips.
"Averi, I want you, right now."
His urgency deepened, breaths hot and ragged as he pulled her lower lip between his teeth, gently biting and tugging at it, the soft sounds of his greedy kisses filling the air.
