For a moment, all memories of the past rush forward to this present moment.
The clouds drift by slowly, the sun sets in the west, it's dusk, the streets are bathed in a warm glow from the fading sunset, two rows of tall, evenly spaced pine trees, all with a golden halo of light.
"Mikayla, want to come with us to the playground to see the hot guys? There's a club performance on the playground tonight!" The roommate enthusiastically grabbed Mikayla.
"Come on, there's no hot guys, it's the pretty girls that are more enjoyable to look at." Another roommate shouted.
"Oh, I'm not going, I have to practice the guitar, and I'll play it for you when I learn it!" Mikayla declined their kind invitation, she actually doesn't like the noisy places, it's better to stay alone quietly.
Mikayla carried the ukulele she just bought to the small garden near the teaching building.
The fading sunset gradually disappeared, the stars adorned the night sky. Cayden just came out of the auditorium, his friend put his hand on his shoulder.
"Wow, one day you'll be called Mr. Novak."
"...Stop joking."
"How lucky you are, to be able to go back and inherit the family business."
Cayden punched his shoulder, "Stay in touch when you go abroad."
"Of course, I know that. Hey, you know, these four years of college went by so fast, it's like blinking and it's gone."
"Yes, it did." Cayden nodded in agreement. They walked to the nearby pavilion subconsciously. A stringed instrument was heard playing along with a beautiful melody.
The evening breeze carried the scent of flowers through the girl's long hair. She was wearing a white long dress, and as she gently raised her eyes to look at him under the dim yellow streetlight, the cleanliness of her eyes hid a hint of joy, which set off a flutter of the heart.
Cayden was stunned into standing still, the first time he believed in love at first sight.
Mikayla noticed someone nearby and muttered, "Why is there someone here today?" After saying that, she quickly ran away with her guitar, leaving him only with the sight of fluttering white skirt.
But just that glance had been hidden in Cayden's heart for many years.
There was a tingling sensation on her face, and Mikayla snapped out of her reverie. She angrily pushed him in the chest, "Then why didn't you ask for my contact information at the time?"
He smiled, "I hesitated."
"But I don't even remember..." Mikayla looked into his deep eyes.
Cayden played with Mikayla's hair, saying lightly with his thin lips, "I remember it's good. I'm glad I met you again."
His face was filled with uncontrollable smiles, "This time I took the opportunity."
Maybe sometimes love is so unreasonable, just a glance and decided to love her for life.
Cayden gently kissed her forehead, "Mikayla, I love you."

Cayden took a month off and came on honeymoon with Mikayla. Mikayla had already quit her job and opened a photography studio with her best friend Linda.
White clouds drifted lazily in the boundless blue sky, Mikayla excitedly waved to Cayden, "Cayden! Come over here!"
Cayden laughed and said to the phone on the other end, "Mom, we really won't have a wedding."
"You've been married to Michala almost a year now."
"The cumbersome ceremony is not so important to us. This time we just had a simple ceremony during our honeymoon just the two of us."
"Alright. You young people have your own way of life. We won't bother you." Cayden hung up the phone and walked towards her, and the white veil on her head was blown by the wind, so he patiently helped her arrange her hair.
She stood on the green lawn in a simple light wedding dress, smiling softly at him. Cayden slowly lowered his head, and a gentle kiss melted between the two of them...
