Milton received a call to pick up the runaway Mr.Palmer from the hospital. When he saw Rylee, he felt like he had just saved his own life. He greeted Rhianna, and it suddenly dawned on him why the commander was so eager to leave the hospital. Standing next to the Mrs. Palmer was another man, who, based on Milton's limited experience from watching TV dramas, was likely a rival in love.
Milton suddenly felt a pang of sympathy for his commander. Facing such dangers on and nearly losing his life in saving his beloved, yet there was a formidable rival next to the woman he liked.
He was about to help Rylee, but Rylee refused him coldly. If it weren't for the blood streaming down, Milton wouldn't have been able to tell that his commander was an injured man.
"Make sure she gets home safely and tell the family to prepare ginger tea," Rylee said, then turned to get into his car.
He suddenly remembered something, turning to Arely, "Arely, you should go home now."
Milton received the order and tried to take Rhianna home, but she stood still in the rain, unmoving.
She looked at Rylee, her mind flashing through many moments they had shared. Had she misunderstood him?
"I'll go to the hospital with you," Rhianna blurted out. Regardless of whether Rylee was injured, his life-saving act made her want to accompany him to the hospital.
"Rhi, now is not the time to be stubborn."
Milton wanted to hold an umbrella for Rylee, but one look from Rylee made him obediently hold the umbrella over Rhianna instead, leaving Arely still standing in the rain.
Milton was in a dilemma. The General's earlier order was to bring Rylee back to the hospital, but he wasn't sure if he had the courage, and even if he did, he didn't have the ability to do it. The injured Rylee could still take down a group of people.
"Achoo—" The sneeze wasn't awkward at all.
Carlo was shivering in the rain. Naturally, he was curious about Rhianna's relationship with the agile and handsome man, but given the situation, going to the hospital seemed wise.
"Rhi, I suddenly have a headache. Will you accompany me to the hospital?" Carlo didn't know Rhi was Rhianna's nickname; he just imitated Rylee's way of addressing her.
Saying this, Carlo took Rhianna's hand and prepared to drive. Rylee's face darkened even more when he heard Carlo call her so intimately.
Milton felt increasingly uneasy about the situation. He quickly covered Rylee's bleeding wound and asked Arely to drive.
Even in the car, Rylee wasn't idle. He made a phone call to thoroughly investigate the cause of the car accident and gather information on the car owner.
This was no small matter, but Rylee had already arranged for people to suppress the news. Rhianna was somewhat of a public figure, and Rylee had many concerns, but his main concern was protecting her.

At the hospital, the doctor wanted to scold Rylee but was busy treating his wound. The wound, only stitched up a couple of days ago, was now reopen and even deeper. It was just 3 cm from his spleen. What had he done to reopen it?
Rhianna remained silent, while Carlo handed towels and hot water to those who were drenched.
Arely was incredibly curious about Rhianna, but given the circumstances, she didn't ask too many questions.
Rylee wanted to walk back to his ward but was met with stern criticism from the doctor. Rhianna watched Rylee sit in a wheelchair, wearing a hospital gown, looking as fashionable as ever. Only Rylee could pull off such a look.
"Milton, take Arely home first." Though he said this, Rylee's gaze was fixed on Rhianna. Carlo, standing beside her, felt extremely awkward under Rylee's stare.
Even Arely found it hard to breathe in this tense atmosphere.
"I'll go home myself," Arely said, seeing that Rylee was back at the hospital and presumably fine. She nodded to everyone and prepared to leave.
Poor Milton, with one look from Rylee, knew to follow Arely. Although he had orders from the general to watch over Rylee, he felt compelled to comply.
Rhianna and Carlo stayed at the hospital. Damon, having learned the situation from Carlo, arrived with a series of supplies.
Damon ignored Rylee, fearing that seeing him would make him want to punch him.
Rhianna was taken by her brother to a nearby hotel apartment to wash up and change clothes.
The military hospital where Rylee was admitted was very quiet. Due to the news being suppressed, no reporters came to bother them. Damon, after learning the details from Carlo, considered Rylee's high professionalism and knew Rhianna had her own plans, so he left with Carlo.
Rhianna sat on the sofa in the hospital room while Rylee rested with his eyes closed.
The nurse took Rylee's temperature and left, leaving the room unusually quiet.
"How is your wound…" Rhianna didn't know what to say.
"I'm fine."
He had lost so much blood; how could he be fine?
"Rylee, thank you for saving me."
Originally, she wanted to cut ties with him, but now she found it impossible.
They were supposed to owe each other nothing, but now she felt indebted to him.
"The lawyer said that after two years of separation, the marriage agreement would automatically take effect." He had never signed the papers, perhaps due to his parents' considerations. Rhianna said this to dispel his worries.
But Rhianna was wrong. Such words only heightened his anxiety.
She looked down at her knees, not expecting Rylee to suddenly grab her wrist and pull her to the bed.
"Is it because of him?"
"What?"
Rhianna didn't understand what Rylee was saying as he brought her to the bed.
