In the instant of their long-awaited reunion, they fell head over heels in love.
After they finished their sandwich, Xavier couldn't resist asking for her again.
Alison panted, "Xavier, no more... please..."
Xavier held her in his arms and said, "But I still want..."
She looked up at him and said, "It's getting late. I should go pick up Leo, and Lane has things to do too. Anyway, we have plenty of time. We can do it whenever we want!"
Xavier was delighted and said, "So you're willing to marry me?"
"I...," Alison looked into the depth of his eyes and felt a sweetness filling her heart. However, she spoke with a reserved tone, "I think marriage should be postponed for now. At least let me get used to it first, and we should at least date first."
Xavier couldn't help but kiss her lips again, "Okay, whatever you say. I just want you to be by my side."
Alison closed her eyes and enjoyed his kiss. It wasn't a dream. The happiness she had been waiting for had finally arrived.
In the evening, Carlyle watched Xavier walking with Alison, who was even holding a little boy. Seeing their backs, he couldn't help but feel a twinge of resentment. He clenched his fist and thought, "Alison, why did you come back?" Perhaps one day Xavier will be mine!
She followed them reluctantly, taking slow steps behind them.
She was not willing to have spent all these years scheming to be by Xavier's side, thinking that she would have a chance to be with him again after Alison's disappearance five years ago, only to find out that Alison was the famous screenwriter Aliee in Roman!
Carlyle's heart was almost driven crazy with the desire to kill them, but just as the three of them crossed the street, the traffic light changed, and in a moment of desperation, she tried to cross the street. Suddenly, someone grabbed her hand and shouted, "Miss, you're running a red light!"
Carlyle suddenly stopped in fright and pulled her hand away from the man. She looked up at the man who was speaking.
"Who are you? What do you want?"
The man let go of her hand and stared at her with his eyes fixed on her. He said one word at a time, "What do I want? Of course, to stop you from killing!"
Carlyle heard this and a shock ran through her. She stammered, "Killing! Don't say that. I can sue you for slander!"
The man suddenly burst out laughing. "Five years ago, you failed to kill Alison. Do you think you're going to kill them all, a family of three, five years later?"
Carlyle froze, looking at him with a pale and terrified expression. How did he know what had happened five years ago?
"Who are you!"
"Carlyle, let's find a place to talk!" the man said, not letting her go.
Carlyle's emotions began to calm down as she looked at the man in front of her, with his lean face showing a hint of coldness and gloom. She thought, "It's fate that cannot be avoided, and I wonder how much he knows about what happened five years ago?"
"Okay, there's a bar up ahead," she said.
