Chapter 12

　　Five years had passed, yet seeing him again, Alison's heart still surged with emotions, just like the first time she turned to look at him.
　　Alison looked at him in disbelief, but her tone remained calm as she said, "The person supposed to sign the contract with me today should have been Mr. Kaiden, the brilliant manager Luminary Lights Agency. What are you doing here?"
　　Xavier's eyes were still fixed on her, completely ignoring her question as he asked her, "Why did you leave after that night?" "Why did you leave after that night?" He questioned with an accusatory tone.
　　How could she forget that night five years ago?
　　Alison remained silent, offering no response to his question. Everything had happened so quickly that she hadn't even had a moment to catch her breath.
　　She hadn't intended to leave him back then, but someone was chasing her, and Lane saved her life.
　　Xavier suddenly held her hand. Alison instinctively tried to pull away, but he held on tighter.
　　She stared at him, her expression blank, and maintained a cold demeanor as she said, "Mr. Xavier, please let go of my hand. Actually, I don't understand what you're talking about. My time is valuable, so please take a look at the contract quickly. If everything is fine, kindly sign it."
　　Xavier looked at her with deep, dark eyes and said, "Alison, five years ago, the police informed me that they found a drowned woman at the beach, and that woman's name was Alison. Do you know? I couldn't believe that drowned woman was you. How could you possibly have committed suicide? But Carlyle confirmed it was you! But, I just couldn't believe you were dead! I searched for you for five years, and just when I was about to give up, you finally appeared before me!" His voice grew more emotional as he spoke.
　　Alison was dumbstruck when she heard this. "You said I... committed suicide at the beach, so you believed it?"
　　She didn't commit suicide，yet she was being chased!
　　Back then, she was forced to leave the United States in a hurry, and she lost her phone in the rush!
