Chapter 7

　　It dawned on him – she and Livia were twin sisters.
　　Ultimately, he still had to face the reality that Livia was truly gone!
　　Time had passed quickly. It had already been a year since Livia left him!
　　Alison felt uncomfortable under Xavier's intense gaze. She knew it was because her face reminded him of Livia.
　　Watching him lost in thought, she finally couldn't help but speak, "If I'm not mistaken, you must be Mr. Grantley. Seeing my face must still be painful for you, right?"
　　Xavier found the woman with Livia’s face intriguing. Recalling the intense shock he felt upon seeing her at Livia’s funeral a year ago, he couldn’t believe Livia had never mentioned having a twin sister.
　　When he saw her for the first time at the funeral, he thought it was Livia playing a trick on him. But he quickly dismissed that idea because her demeanor and expression were completely different from Livia’s!
　　Xavier studied Alison, noting the familiar face but sensing a literary, innocent aura about her that Livia never had. He was surprised at how different the twin sisters were.
　　Just as he was about to speak, she continued, "Mr. Grantley, I know you loved my sister Livia. Even though she's been gone for over a year, thinking of her still makes you sad, right? She left us so suddenly. I believe you feel the same way I do, don’t you?"
　　Her words hit Xavier's heart, bringing a pang of guilt. Before Livia's car accident, their relationship had already been troubled. He had discovered that Livia had been cheating on him for a long time. He even saw her kissing another man on the street. Just as he was about to confront her, she died in the car crash.
