When she shifted her gaze from the sky outside the window to the man sitting in front of her, her entire body suddenly froze, and her mouth seemed frozen shut, unable to utter a word!
She had always known she would see him again someday, but she never expected that the first person she would encounter upon returning to the United States would be him!
In her heart, she silently repeated: Xavier, it's been a while! How have you been?
Alison's stunned gaze fell into his deep eyes, and she trembled as she spoke, "Xavier..."
He had searched for her for so many years, only to find out she was the Aliee!
Xavier's gaze was as scorching as the sun, as if he wanted to burn her to ashes!
With indescribable intensity in his voice, Xavier said, "Alison, I knew you were still alive!"
His words echoed clearly in Alison's ears.
Facing his intense gaze, her thoughts seemed to transport her back to the time five years ago.
As Alison looked at the bustling street, she noticed a sign with neon lights flickering, displaying the word "Flashback."
She had once heard Livia mention this place called "Flashback," a café invested in by the famous singer Ethan. She hadn’t expected Ethan to be a good friend of Livia's.
While waiting, her order was brought to her.
Then, she heard the audience cheer as Ethan took the stage with a guitar.
He said, "Hey, everyone, welcome to Flashback. Next, I will sing a song I wrote for you, 'I Love You.'"
After Ethan finished singing, the audience erupted in cheers, and applause filled the room.
Xavier sat down in front of her, his eyes never leaving Alison; it must be because she looked like Livia exactly .
Alison found herself unable to take her eyes off Xavier. Did this man have an irresistible charm?
Having never been in love, she couldn’t understand what love was. Livia was different; she had fallen in love with Xavier in high school and always talked about him. Although Alison had never met him, she felt a strange familiarity with him. Could this situation have sparked an inexplicable fondness for him?
Suddenly, she felt envious of Livia for leaving such a deep impression on him!
