Susie didn't expect Rachel to have the audacity to come find her again.
Seeing the woman suddenly appear before her, Susie's eyes turned cold, her hands clenched into fists, nails digging into her palms.
"Get out!" she snarled through gritted teeth.
If it hadn't been for this woman, her baby would still be alive.
Chasing after this woman had caused her to lose her baby.
Susie wanted to tear Rachel apart, filled with rage and hatred!
Rachel crossed her arms, looking down at Susie with a mocking expression, her eyes gleaming with schadenfreude.
"Lost the baby, huh? It hurts, doesn't it? My baby is gone too, so now you finally understand my pain. It's a feeling only someone who's been through it can understand."
Susie's eyes reddened with anger as she glared at Rachel, her heart filled with a mix of hatred and fury.
Rachel's loss had nothing to do with her. Rachel had caused her own miscarriage by throwing herself down the stairs.
"Your baby was your own doing. Why are you in pain?" Susie retorted, suppressing her emotions.
Rachel didn't get angry, instead smiling smugly. "It hurts because you weren't crippled by the accident."
The truck had been entering the hospital to make a delivery, and its speed wasn't fast enough to kill but could certainly cause serious injury.
Susie's eyes widened as she stared at the woman, her fists clenched tightly.
"You did it on purpose?"
Rachel had seen the truck coming.
A perfect case of using someone else's hand to kill.
Her baby...
"You!"
"Haha! You just realized it now? You're so stupid. How could Lawrence love you? No wonder you've been living in a fake love for so many years," Rachel taunted, enjoying Susie's shocked expression.
"Let me tell you the truth. I'm the woman Lawrence truly loves. We had a bit of a falling out, and he stayed with you for revenge. It was your father who caused his parents' deaths. Don't you feel guilty?"
"Lawrence is just taking back what's his, while you foolishly believed he was your loving husband. He hates being with you, probably wants to kill you, and yet... you noticed nothing!"
Susie's breathing quickened, her face twisting in anger. "Why are you telling me this?"
She regained her composure, realizing that Rachel's sudden visit was not without purpose.
Whether Lawrence loved her or not no longer mattered.
Suppressing the pain in her heart, she stared at Rachel, determined not to break.
Rachel continued to provoke her. "I'm just here to see how miserable you are. Are you grieving over your unborn child? Don't blame me; you chased after me and caused the accident. You were never a good mother."
"You know why Lawrence won't divorce you?"
Susie's eyes flickered.
Rachel leaned in closer, and Susie watched her warily.
"Because... you'll never have the chance to be a mother again."
Susie's heart skipped a beat, her voice cold, "What do you mean?"
"It’s simple. You bled so much from this miscarriage, you nearly died. The doctors had to remove your uterus. You can't have children anymore."
Susie's face turned deathly pale, her mind buzzing.
Was that why Lawrence wouldn't divorce her?
She couldn't have children anymore?
No, it can't be...
"You're lying! I'll tear you apart!"
Susie, in a fit of rage, lunged at Rachel, grabbing her and knocking them both to the ground. Fueled by anger, Susie gained the upper hand, slapping Rachel hard.
"How dare you lie!"
It can't be true.
"If you don't believe me, ask the doctor... Lawrence didn't tell you because he pitied you... Ah!"
Rachel fought back, clawing at Susie.
The two women wrestled on the floor, hair and clothes in disarray.
Lawrence deceived her, they all deceived her!
