Chapter 19

　　As Lawrence entered, the receptionist brought in a package.
　　"Mr. Sutton, you have a delivery."
　　The receptionist handed him the package and left.
　　Lawrence looked at it, unable to discern its contents. He sat down, opened it, and found the divorce papers Susie had sent.
　　Instantly, his face turned dark with rage.
　　Bang!
　　He threw the documents across the room, knocking over a cup, which shattered on the floor.
　　"Lawrence, what's wrong?" Rachel rushed over when she heard the noise but was stopped at the door by Lawrence's shout.
　　"Get out!"
　　Rachel glanced inside, seeing the papers on the floor but unsure of what had happened. Seeing Lawrence's stormy expression, she dared not enter.
　　"Let's go quickly. The boss seems like he's about to explode. We better not get caught in the crossfire." Finnegan quickly pulled Rachel away, keeping their distance from Lawrence.
　　Lawrence's chest heaved with fury, his eyes fixed on the divorce papers on the floor as if they were his greatest enemy.
　　Still unsatisfied, he walked over and stomped on the signed agreement, nearly bursting with anger.
　　"Susie!"
　　She dared to send him this? Did she think he wasn't angry enough?
　　That woman knew exactly how to provoke him.
　　Hands on his hips, Lawrence seethed with rage.
　　A secretary approached to report but stopped in her tracks, seeing Lawrence's furious state.
　　Lawrence glanced at the door, tried to calm himself, then bent down to pick up the papers and fed them to the shredder.
　　He pulled out his phone and called her. Unsurprisingly, Susie didn't answer. Not only that, she had blocked his number and their online communication.
　　Unable to reach her, Lawrence felt a sharp pain in his chest and immediately called Shawn.
　　"Tell her I will never sign those papers. She should take care of herself. If she wants my signature, she can come to me directly when she's better!"
　　Before Shawn could respond, Lawrence angrily hung up.
　　Rachel, eavesdropping by the door, felt a flicker of joy at hearing the word "signature."
　　It was a divorce agreement!
　　Susie acted fast.
　　A smile formed on her lips, but it quickly faded when she considered Lawrence's reaction.
　　Why did Susie command such dedication from him? She didn't deserve it.
　　If it weren't for David, Lawrence wouldn't have become an orphan. During his darkest days, it was Rachel who stood by him.
　　She couldn't let Lawrence stop now.
　　Lawrence belonged to her and only her. She had nothing else left.
　　Rachel's eyes darkened as she turned away and left.
