Reaching the door, Amber's heart raced.
The two security guards she'd selected were smart and obedient, but in this situation, she couldn't guarantee they wouldn't recognize her.
Her familiar figure, disheveled hair, and cleaner's outfit didn't fool them when she approached; they stopped her.
Panic surged.
They asked her to look up. Amber maintained a calm exterior, hiding her racing heart.
Desperately thinking, her face gradually revealed itself, her makeup intact, nothing about her resembling a cleaner.
Especially with her recognizable face.
At the last moment, Landon stepped forward, approaching with his assistant.
Uninvited to the wedding, Landon could still show up wherever Amber was.
Landon could sneak in or walk out openly, preferably with the "Cleaner."
The guards were surprised to see Landon. Compared to him, who would care about Amber, a "cleaner lady"?
"Why are you here, Mr. Rhodes?" a guard asked.
Landon's expression was sour, his anger seeking an outlet, and the guard had unfortunately become a target.
"Is it any of your business where I am?" Landon stopped, his question ominous.
The guard was frightened. "No, no, of course not."
"But I heard this wedding didn't invite Rhodes Group..." the guard ventured weakly, shrinking under Landon's glare.
"Heard? From whom? Is this how AmSawyer Creations trains its staff? A security guard overstepping!"
Landon's disdainful gaze left the guard trembling.
"I'm sorry, Sir! Please go ahead!"
The guard dared not say more. He should stick to his job, not meddle in affairs beyond him!
Today's guests were not to be trifled with!
Thus, Landon strode out arrogantly, leaving no one daring to challenge him.
Amidst the commotion, no one noticed the missing cleaner.
Taking advantage of Landon distracting the guards, Amber slipped away unnoticed.
Landon had secretly placed a tracker on the cleaner's uniform. The GPS indicated Amber was heading for the docks.
The docks?
Landon rushed there, arriving just in time.
The sight of the massive ship stunned him.
Back at the wedding, Sawyer presented a logical argument backed by evidence, effectively silencing the troublemakers who had been unreasonable.
He had prepared proof of Amber's false accusations, unexpectedly needing it now.
Finally, he summoned Amber to demand apologies from the disruptors.
They were all paid by Ethan, Money talks. They will do all he said without complaint.
However, when a subordinate returned alone and whispered in Sawyer's ear, his expression shifted dramatically. Addressing the audience, he announced:
"Amber has been frightened and is unwell. This concludes today's matter. Any further rumors will be considered an enemy act against me!"
