Chapter 1

　　"Nurse, what's the situation with the patient in the next bed? Why hasn't anyone come to see her?"
　　"Hmph, maybe she's had her fair share of misdeeds, so people are keeping their distance," came a cold response.
　　As I lay unconscious, the whispers from the world outside my awareness continued to reach my ears. 
　　Trapped in the dark abyss of unconsciousness, I struggled with every fiber of my being to awaken, yet found myself unable to break through. 
　　It wasn't until, after countless attempts, a thud echoed from the neighboring room—a cup hitting the floor—that my eyes snapped open. "Oh my lady, you're awake!"
　　The startled voice of a woman filled the air.
　　Gazing at the ceiling above me, I lay immobilized.
　　"I'm so sorry, miss. It was me who dropped the cup; did it startle you awake?" she asked, filled with remorse.
　　But no, I owed her gratitude for that accidental clatter. It was amidst that fright that I finally emerged from the depths of unconsciousness.
　　Little did anyone realize just how profound my fear and terror truly were, being within that dark and silent realm of unconsciousness.
