He held the figurines for a long time, then suddenly turned around, and hurried out the room and downstairs.
"Lincoln, get the car ready."
For some reason, an image flashed before his eyes—an isolated figure standing under the streetlight outside the gate.
The car sped away, driving out of the lane and stopping at the junction with the main road.
The night deepened, and the birds returned to their nests.
Aside from the occasional noise of passing vehicles, the road was deserted.
Clutching the figurines, Xander looked at Lincoln, the old driver who had worked for the Northbrook family since his youth.
"Lincoln, do you know who Jenna is?" Lincoln visibly flinched but then diverted the conversation with a smile, "Young master, I've never heard that name before."
The events of those years had caused such upheaval—Xander had fought for his life for three days and nights, and his parents were furious.
The name Jenna had become the Northbrook family's biggest taboo. Who would dare mention it?
Xander suddenly chuckled.
"I know all of you are keeping something from me."
"Sir…"
"But it's okay, I'll figure it out myself."
Lincoln was alarmed: "Sir, you know how many tears and how much worry your parents had over your previous car accident..."
Xander's eyes grew cold. Since recovering from the accident, his demeanor had become much colder.
Lincoln watched him, terrified: "Sir…"
"So, what does all this have to do with this Jenna?"
"Nothing, there's no such girl..."
Xander looked down at the figurines in his hand. His smile was faint, "How do you know she's a girl?"
"Miss Chandler's name sounds like a girl's name..." Lincoln suddenly froze.
Xander slowly looked up at him: "Oh? Miss Chandler."
