Ash helped me up and shielded me behind him.He showed his anger towards Darius for the first time.
Ash's family was in close relationship with Darius's for many generation. Ash had always admired Darius as a good brother.But now he faced Darius with anger for me.
"Darius, you were about to kill her!"
Darius, initially staring at his hand in shock, came to his sense and looked up. His gaze hardened again and found me stand behind Ash
He declared, "Ash, Luna is my fiancée. Our issues are not your concern."
Then, Ignoring Ash, he commanded me, "Come here."
I remained still. Ash couldn't help to tighten his fist and roared, "She's your fiancée. Do you always treat her this way? Who allows you to act like this?"
"She had someone kidnap Serena, whose fate remains uncertain!" Darius's anger flared, veins bulging on his neck.
"Ash, Did you remember who helped you adjust and reintegrate after you first returned to your family?preventing being marginalized? Serena was so good to you. Don't be ungrateful."
Ash fell silent. He often finds himself unable to stand his ground when facing Serena's questions. But he suddenly spoke up this time.
"Is there evidence?"
"What?"
"I asked if there's evidence," Ash's voice grew intense. ""What evidence do you have to prove that Luna did this?And why is the focus solely on her?"
Hearing this, I glanced at him. He knew the importance of evidence. Yet, I wondered why he had been so righteous when accusing me of doing bad things to Serena without proof before?
"How many wrongdoings has she done to Serena?" Darius's voice became hoarse with anger, "She has plotted against Serena countless times in the last few year, even took her things. These actions are witnessed by all. Serena always forgave her but she always repay kindness with malice.She even had somebody kidnapped her this time.Isn't that enough?"
Ash remained silent. Hearing their argument, I almost laughed. Serena had to forgive me to highlight her generosity and kindness?
Just as I was about to take a yawn and said something to provoke him further to kill me, Ash spoke, "I believe her."
