James walked towards her again to check her temperature and to calm down it was increasing.
He had nothing to give her so that her temperature could calm down so he decided to wait until the doctor got to the house.
He knew he had a visitor and he has kept the visitor waiting for a long time now. Though he doesn't really care if it's up to two hours because no one in the country matches his family standards, he doesn't know what the visit is for.
It might be something better than business. He brought out his phone from his pocket so he could call the doctor again, but the doctor didn't pick it up this time.
The doctor found his way to James's room and opened the door. James was already pissed so the moment the doctor walked in he walked out of the room.
'I'm sorry, I was busy before you called." The doctor said to James while James was walking out of the room.
'What is wrong with you?" The doctor asked James's girlfriend almost in a whisper. She smiled and made her way to his shirt button.
'Nothing, I was just missing you, but I really don't know how I feel, I have been sleeping all day, but I'm sure your presence will make me feel better." The young lady said to the doctor making advances towards him.
He pushed her hand away when he noticed she was going far with her hands.
'Stop it. I'm here to treat you, and not have sex with you." The doctor said to James's girlfriend strictly. He opened his bag and brought out the tools that he used to work.
'Why do you always act like you are not interested? Meanwhile you made me like this after that night with you." The doctor closed her mouth the moment she said this. It looks like she was really ready to ruin his life.
'What if anyone hears you?" The doctor asked and walked towards the door to open it. He checked and there was no one outside the room. He walked back to where she was sitting.
'If anyone hears us you'll be killed, not me, I'm his princess and he loves me. I'll just tell him I'm carrying his child and he won't hurt me." James's girlfriend said to the doctor confidently.
When he heard this he realized James's girlfriend is ready for him today and there is no way out for him.
She stood up and walked closer to him, she bit her lips and held his shirt moving him closer to her chest.
'I need you now." James's girlfriend whispered in the doctor's ear while her hand was struggling to remove his belt.
He stopped her when he noticed she was close to removing it already.
'I don't think this is the right place. What if he comes in and meets us on the bed together?" The doctor tried to give James's girlfriend a reason not to do it.
'He'll not be back anytime soon." She said to him as they both laid on the bed.
James was on his way to the guest area to see who the visitor was, but he stopped when he heard his phone ring.
He checked who the caller was and he realized it's one of his debtors. He picked the call immediately with a mischievous smile on his face.
'Hello, Hello." James said the moment he picked the call, the caller was quiet the moment he heard James's voice.
'Good day sir." The debtor greeted shockingly.
'My men are at your place now right?" James asked the debtor. Then he laughed out loud. 'Just give them what you owe me and they'll be out of there." James added.
The debtor was in his house having little lunch with his family when James boys walked in.
The debtor is a very rich business man, he was at the top among one of the richest men in the country until he suddenly started losing money. Business was getting bad everyday.
He started taking looks from banks, the debt was getting too much for him and he was owing about three banks already. He heard James was loaning money at that time so he decided to give it a try by visiting James to grant him the loan.
James gave him the grace of three years to pay back the loan. It's up to six years now and the man is still yet to pay back the loan.
He is the only person James has ever been nice to because he did good for their father once in the past.
But the man was not serious about paying back the loan anymore and this got James upset.
'Yes sir, please can you be a little patient with me? I'll pay you when I get my pay from the new job I started." The man pleaded. James smiled when he heard the debtor finish talking.
'How much is your salary?" James asked the man because he knew that the man's salary will not be anywhere close to the amount he owes him. The man was quiet because he realized his salary is not even enough to feed them and talk less of paying a debt that's up to millions.
'Give the phone to my man." James said to the debtor. The debtor was relieved because it seemed like James wanted to tell them to return back to base.
'Come back with their daughter." It was on speaker so the man heard what James said. He opened his eyes wider than usual when he heard what James said to his man.
'No. Please take me, not my daughter." The man pleaded. James could hear what the man was saying from the phone call, and listening to the man's voice made a smile escape his lips.
'Fool." James said to himself, while listening to the man and his wife.
'Don't worry, I'll take good care of her here." James concluded and hung up. The man was still not in support of his baby girl being taken away by a man like James.
There is no way she'll not be influenced into a very bad lifestyle.
The man was struggling so that the girl would not be taken away. During the process of the struggle one of the men threw him away and he hit his head on the center table in their small house.
His wife moved her attention to him and James boys took the girl away. Even when she was calling her mom as dad they were unable to help because her dad was already unconscious.
James had already hung up so he put his phone back in his pocket.
The man was rushed to the hospital by his wife. They paid the hospital I'll with the only money left with them to feed. The man's wife was already tired of all the sufferings she had been going through with her husband since he lost his empire.
She stayed with him because she once believed he'll be back on his feet but instead of things getting better it actually got worse.
So she concluded I'm leaving him. She turned to look at him and saw that he was already conscious.
'Why is your face like that? Don't worry I'm fine, I'll go get our daughter." The man said to his wife trying to make her feel better.
She didn't say anything, instead she wiped her tears away and looked away. When she was done wiping her tears she turned to look at him.
'I'm leaving?" The man was still in pain, his head was still hurting badly so the news made it get worse. He turned to look at her, so he can be sure she means what she is saying.
'Where are you leaving? Did you get a job outside the country?" The man asked the woman and later smiled because he felt it was a good thing if it's a job that she got.
Tears welled down her eyes as she thought of how she would break the news to him, the way she was crying rang a bell to him that it may not be what he actually thinks.
'Why are you crying?" He asked her again, she turned to look at him and wiped the tears away. Both of their eyes met.
'I did not get any job outside the country." She said to the man and tears welled down her eyes again.
'I really don't know how to say this but, I'm tired of everything, I have tried to be patient and just assure myself that everything will be back to normal but the more I try to tell myself that the more what happens tells me that there is no change anytime soon." The man placed his hand on his head because he was stressing his head by trying to think of what his wife was trying to say.
'What do you mean?" The man asked her as he was praying it's not what he thinks that's about to happen.
'I'm leaving you." His wife finally broke the news. The man was shocked to hear what his wife said. He has been trying to comfort himself with the idea that his wife does not actually mean what he is thinking.
'Please tell me you don't mean that, you are pulling my legs right." The man asked his wife, trying not to cry because she might be joking, she pushed his hand away from her hand and shifted from his side by standing up.
'I mean what I said." His wife said to him trying to be strong. It felt like the man's life was falling apart in a day. Tears welled down his eyes as he looked away. He has been coping all these years because he has his wife and daughter by his side and now both have been taken away from him because he lacks money.
'Please think about it." His wife turned around and was about to walk out of the room when she heard his voice. She tried not to cry but she couldn't hold it in because she loves her husband very much but sometimes love is just not enough.
She walked away without replying to her husband to prove to him that she thought about it very well before concluding.
The man put everything on James, he felt James was the one that caused the breakup in his family. If he had not taken his daughter away, his wife would have never thought of leaving him.
'He ruined my life, I regret the day I took that loan." The man said to himself as he thought of how life has been really unfair to him.
James continued walking to go see the guest that's here to see him. While he was heading there he saw some of his boys lazing around so he had to scold them. After addressing them he continued going to see the guest.
James walked to the guest room, it's but a room where one sleeps, it's a sitting room where all his new visitors are always attended to.
When he got there, he sighted the young man that was sitting on the couch. He was wondering what such a young boy wanted to say to him. He looked at the bags beside him and smiled.
'Looks like it's really business." James said to himself as a smile escaped his lips. He walked closer to the boy, and the moment the young boy saw him he stood up.
James looked at the bags on the floor beside him and he tried to weigh it with his eyes, the young man noticed James's eye was glued to the bag on the floor.
He smiled because he knew the meeting would be successful.
'Good day boss." The young man greeted James as a smile escaped his lips. James did not reply to his greeting, he just sat down and looked at the young man very well. He was trying to know why such a young boy would want to see him with those bags.
Chapter 38
James sat down and the young man also sat down.
'What do you want?" James asked the young man when he sat down. The boy smiled and his face was shown to be Michael.
'My name is Michael." James was staring at him and he could tell he had seen Michael's face somewhere before. Michael stretched his hand to shake James, but James did not accept the handshake.
Michael took his hand back with a smile on his face.
'We are not friends." James said to Michael. That gave Michael a signal that it's because they are not friends that why he rejected the handshake.
'Tell me the reason why you are here. I'm a very busy person." James said to Michael, sounding very strict, Michael knew that's how wolf lord's are and very soon he'll be like them.
'I'm here for business and to also tell you something you might not know." Michael spoke confidently to James.
James laughed out aloud when he heard what the young boy said to him.
'What does this child know about business?" James said to himself while looking at Michael's face.
'Business first." James replied to him. Michael smiled because he knows that the wolf lord's are always about business and nothing else concerns them.
Michael brought the bags to his front and pushed it closer to James.
Michael stood up from where he was sitting and opened both bags. Themis was an eye opener to James, he looked at Michael again and wondered where he got such an amount of money from.
He raised his hand and immediately one of his men rushed to his front.
'Check it." James said to the man and he checked the money till the down. He turned back to look at James and nodded his head.
James stretched his gun immediately. Michael was shocked because he never expected such a reaction from James.
'Boss, please calm down." Michael said to James and raised his two hands. James stood up from where he was sitting and moved closer to Michael.
'Who are you?" James asked Michael with the gun still pointed at Michael's head. Michael was wondering what would be the best thing to say to James, he can't tell him how his brother got the money because it might put him in a bigger mess.
But if he doesn't tell him a convincing story he might not live to see the outcome.
'Please calm down, I'll tell you who I am." Michael requested of James. James was even more pissed when he heard what because he felt James was already controlling him by telling him what to do and what not to do.
James raised the gun and shot it. Michael was shocked when he heard the gun sound. He realized James was not joking when he pointed the gun at him.
Michael closes his eyes and swallows his saliva nervously.
'I'm Michael and I work for Diego." James was shocked when he heard what Michael said, he lowered the gun and looked down , he saw the huge amount of money again.
'Did he send you here?" James asked Michael because he believed there is no way Michael will have such an amount of money especially if he is working for James.
'No, I'm here for my own business." James turned to look at the young boy again, he knew that there is definitely more to the money he is seeing on the floor.
'Why are you here, and how did you get such an amount of money?" James asked Michael to sit on the chair.
Michael was relieved when he saw James sit down. He sighed heavily, and turned to look at James.
'My brother and I worked for Diego, he killed my brother and when I brought my cousin he killed him too." James paused, lighting his smoke. When he heard what Michael said, he started laughing.
'How is your tragedy my business?" James said while laughing, Michael knew that wolf lord's are very heartless and that's why James will not take his words emotional instead he'll laugh at it.
'That's the same thing he is about to do to you." James's laugh suddenly turned into a frown. He turned to look at Michael, immediately he picked his gun and was ready to pull the trigger on Michael's head.
'He has ordered for a thorough search on the whereabouts of your brother and he ordered that they should kill him on the spot." Michael spoke very well so that James could hear him out fast. He closed his eyes when he finished talking just in case James is not convinced and he decides to pull the trigger.
When his eyes were shut for some minutes he finally decided to open them.Michael was relieved when he opened his eyes and saw James sitting on the chair as the gun was on the floor.
'What do you mean by what you just said?" Michael sighed heavily, ready to reply to James.
'I just told you the truth, boss. If you don't believe me, you can try and find out the truth yourself." Michael said confidently to James.
James was completely down at this point, he felt betrayed by Diego but when he remembered the kind of things that they have done together he tried to convince himself that Michael is just speaking nonsense.
'How am I supposed to trust you?" James asked Michael, because he was still finding it hard to trust if what Michael is saying is the truth or not.
'I am someone Diego has made fatherless and without a brother or a cousin. Why will I come here and lie to you?" Michael said to James, sounding hurt. James is not a relationship man so he is never moved by anything emotional.
'You want revenge." James said to Michael, replying to the question Michael asked him about not being capable of lying to him.
'I will never lie just to take revenge at him." Michael tried to defend himself, but it was too late beca James had already made up his mind. James raised his hand and immediately his men rushed towards him.
'Take him away." James said to the men. Michael was struggling to get out of their grip but they were just too big for him.
'You'll be out when I find out you are telling the truth." Michael became calm when he heard what James said to him, he started wondering if he made a mistake or he did a good thing by telling James the truth.
He wasn't even sure if it's the truth because it's Richard that told him and he did not clarify it before coming to tell James about it.
'What if it's not the truth?" Michael asked himself and was thrown into a shabby room. He looked around the room, he suddenly started imagining himself growing old in such a place if it's not true that Diego is betraying James.
'What is wrong with me?" Michael asked himself and started hitting his face with his hand when he finally came back to reality, he was wondering why he is thinking he'll grow old in such a place.
'I'm sure it's the truth, Richard doesn't tell lies." Michael said to himself trying to feel better but his mind was saying something different.
James was still trying to think about what Michael said to him, he Astarte imagining the possibilities of Diego actually betraying him.
'Diego will never do such a thing." James said to himself that he raised his hand.
One of his men rushed towards him immediately, he gave the man a sign so he bent his head.
'Tell the secret agent to do a background search on who he is and where he is from." James ordered his man. The man walked away immediately then James raised his hand again.
Another bodyguard rushed towards him and the moment he saw the way James positioned his hand he bent his head to hear what James wanted to say to him.
'I want you to search on what that bastard told me, check if Diego really sent his men to search for Alpha Andrew and kill him on the spot." James ordered his man.
'Okay boss." The bodyguard replied to him and walked away immediately.
'Diego, Diego. I hope you are really innocent." James said to himself and put the smoke in his mouth. He lowered his head and picked the glass of wine on the table. He gulped the whole thing left in the glass.
He suddenly remembered he left his girlfriend in the room. He stood up immediately and started heading back to the room. Before he entered the room he remembered the eye signal his wife was giving the doctor.
And the moment he stepped out he heard the lock, meaning they locked the door so he wouldn't barge in.
James smelled something fishy going on between his doctor and his girlfriend, but he would prefer to catch her in the act.
James finally walked in after standing outside for a while.
He saw his wife laying on the bed, nothing changed in the dress she was wearing, the doctor also looked in perfect shape. Though his tie was not well. James smiled when he noticed this.
'How are you feeling now?" James asked his girlfriend the moment he walked in. His girlfriend stretched her body on the bed and turned to look at James.
'I'm feeling better." James's girlfriend said to him, sounding sick. James noticed the doctor was not feeling comfortable all he could do was just smile while looking at both of them.
'What's wrong with her doctor?" The doctor was shocked when James asked him the question, the shock was obvious to both James and his girlfriend. James's girlfriend was wondering why the doctor chose to act like a child.
'Are you okay doctor?" James asked the doctor nicely. The doctor was quiet. He was trying to act normal but he couldn't stop shaking.
'Yes, I-I'm fine, just a little clumsy." The doctor said to James while arranging his tools back into his bag.
'She will be fine before nightfall, these are just signs of pregnancy." James was shocked to hear what the doctor said to him. His girlfriend closed her eyes the moment she heard what the doctor told James.
James turned to look at her and. He noticed she already forced herself to sleep because she was awake a few minutes ago.
'Ohh good, I should be happy about that?" James said to the doctor in a form of question. Though James would have been happy but he wasn't sure if the baby is actually his or the doctor's.
James's girlfriend is a flirt as a cheat but one thing is sure that her baby does not belong to any other man than James. But James was no longer sure because he noticed there must be something going on between her and the doctor.
His girlfriend was listening to everything James was saying to the doctor and all she could pray for is that James is but suspecting there is something between her abs the doctor.
'I thought you should." The doctor replied to James. The doctor picked his bag from the table where he kept it as he was finally set to leave the house.
'Okay doctor, thanks for coming and for telling me the supposed good news." The doctor was shocked to hear the way James directed the news about his girlfriend being pregnant. The doctor smiled back at James while they were still shaking hands.
'Congratulations once again." The doctor said to James while they were still shaking hands. The doctor was suddenly finding it weird when James refused to release his hand.
It was all happening too fast and James was trying to put his head in one area, is it the case of The strange guy or Diego or the new case which seemed to be that of his girlfriend as the doctor.
He planned on making sure he finds out the truth.
'You too." The doctor was shocked and James finally released his hand. The smile on James's face could only prove one thing.
