Diego looked at the newbie very well. He is almost very sure that the newbie is the one that has the problem.
'What's your name again?" Diego asked the newbie. The rest of them were looking worried and Diego concluded that the problem is really from the newbie.
'L-u Richard boss." The newbie struggled to say his name to the boss. When the boss heard his name he laughed out again.
'Richard." Diego called his name in a very calm way.
'Yes boss." Richard replied to him almost confidently. Diego looked at him very well again.
'Why did you mess with my goods?" The moment Richard heard this he opened his eyes in an unusual way. The head of the team was also shocked when he heard what Diego said to his cousin.
Everyone was shocked when they heard what Diego said, Richard remembered that his cousin told him that once the boss finds out he shouldn't deny it, that way the boss will forgive him.
Unknowingly to the team head that Diego was offended a few minutes ago and he couldn't kill his offender because he is his favorite so to satisfy himself he is looking for someone that'll be a scapegoat for him.
Richard fell on his knees immediately and started apologizing to Diego.
'So i wasn't wrong?" Diego asked Richard while Richard was on his knees apologizing.
'Boss I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend you in such a way, it was a mistake I was fooled." While Diego was listening to what the young man was saying he didn't seem interested because he was not ready to listen to stories.
'So you did mess with my goods after all." Diego asked the young man in a funny way. Richard nodded his head when Diego asked him the question.
'Have you been training your cousin at all?" Diego asked the head of the team, the team head was dumbfounded, because he didn't know why his cousin chose to joke with his life in such a manner.
'I'm sorry boss." The head of the team apologized, it was clear that Diego was not ready to hear any apology, he brought out his gun from the back of his trouser pocket.
'It's an honor to receive a bullet from me." Those were the last words Diego said to Richard before pulling the trigger. Richard cousin closed his eye,
It really hurt him because Richard is the only family member he has left, his brother was also killed by Diego and now his cousin.
'Dispose the body." Diego was talking to the team head when he knew how hurt the young man would be because he just lost a family member. Diego looked at the goods and now he was satisfied after killing someone.
'The clients will be here tomorrow." Diego said to the guys and walked out of the store room. The moment Diego stepped out, all of them moved their attention to the corpse on the floor.
'My brother." The team head said as tears welled down his eyes. The team head tried to raise his head up then he suddenly realized his cousin was not completely dead.
'He didn't kill him." The team head announced to the others, then he remembered that Diego told him to dispose of the body.
'He was trying to tell me." The team head wiped his tears as a smile clouded his face. The other guys helped him to carry Richard and they all rushed him to the hospital.
Diego was watching everything they were doing, he knew Richard would die before they got to the hospital. He already had everything calculated. He just wanted the head team to have the mentality that he didn't kill his cousin. That was the exact same thing he did to the team head brother.
The moment they got to the hospital, Richard was rushed to the emergency room and treatment was carried out on him. Diego sent one of his guys to check on what's going on and if at all Richard makes it they should kill him.
Richard was finally out of danger, they moved him to a ward, but no one was allowed to see him yet, his cousin begged the doctor until the doctor finally allowed him to go in.
When he got in he sat beside Richard, he saw the stare of Richard health and tears welled down his eyes.
'I'm sorry bro." The team head apologized to Richard, Richard held his hand when he heard him apologizing. The team head was shocked to see that his cousin was awake.
'You don't have to be sorry." Richard said to his cousin holding his hand. The team head still felt guilty because he was the one that brought Richard into the bad business.
'Good thing our boss was nice enough, he didn't kill you." The team head said excitedly to Richard. Richard smiled when he heard what Diego said to him.
'No, this is his plan," The team head was confused when he heard what Richard said to him.
'What do you mean?" The team head asked Richard curiously because from the way he understood it Diego was only trying to give Richard a warning by shooting him in the first place.
'How did Manuel die?" Richard asked the team head. The team head hates to remember how his brother died but it's something that has happened two months ago already so he is slowly growing past it.
Manuel is the team head brother that was also shot by Diego. Though he didn't die on the spot, he was rushed to the hospital, then he felt better, the team head was later shocked to hear that his brother is dead.
'Why are you bringing that up now?" The team head asked Richard, Richard smiled when he heard what the team head said, he was struggling to talk because of his health but he had to say something so that the team head will know the type of person he is working for.
'Don't you think the same thing that happened to him is happening to me?' Richard asked the team head. The team head was quiet for some minutes, he was wondering why it's truly similar. But there was a difference because his brother died the moment he got out of the emergency room.
The more the team head was trying to reason what Richard was saying the more confused he was.
'No. It's not the same. Manuel died the moment he came out of the emergency room." The team head tried to defend Diego. Richard smiled when he heard what his cousin said.
'He is not a good boss, he'll definitely kill me, he didn't kill me in front of you because you work for him and he doesn't want you to hate him." The team head was not getting anything that Richard was saying because he trusts his boss is not in any way wicked to those that work for him.
'Richard, you need to stop talking, your health is more important right now." The team head said to Richard trying to stop him from talking.
Richard turned to look at his cousin.
'Do you know that our so-called boss is searching for James's brother and the witness? He wants to kill both of them without telling James about it." The team head was shocked to hear what Richard said to him. But he couldn't say much because it's not something that concerns him.
'He betrayed his own business partner why do you think he'll not kill me." Richard said to the team head again. The more Richard talked about Diego, the more the team head wanted to believe, but he found it hard to believe whatever Richard was saying.
The team head stood up from where he was sitting and turned to walk out of the room.
'Let me go get water." The team head said to his cousin. Richard held his hands when he was about to leave. The team head Thurber back to look at Richard.
'I would have preferred if you didn't leave," Richard said to his cousin holding his gang. The team head held Richard' hand too and smiled.
'I just need to go get water." The team head explained to Richard, but Richard refused to stop holding his cousin.
'The goods I stole, I sold them and made millions. I kept the money in a safe," The team head was shocked to hear what his cousin just told him, he never thought his cousin would do such a thing, he thought his cousin was not paid.
'What are you talking about? I thought you were not paid." Richard smiled when he heard what his brother said to him.
'I knew you would not support it, that's why I told you I wasn't paid." Richard explained his brother. The team head finally understood Richard, he was tasty so he needed to go drink water.
'Why are you still stopping me from leaving?" The team head asked Richard when Richard refused to stop holding him.
'Please promise me you'll stop working for that beast." Richard pleaded. The team head was wondering why Richard has a problem with their boss.
'Okay, I promise." The team head lied to his brother because he is not ready to stop anytime soon.
Richard finally released his brother to go and get himself water.
The team head was walking back to Richard room when he sighted a man walking out of the room. The man looked a little familiar but he had no idea the team head sighted him.
He rushed to Richard' room immediately and he saw the position of Richard' hand and he could tell something was wrong.
'Richard, Richard." The team head tried to wake Richard but it seemed Richard was already dead.
'Wake up please." The team head pleaded but Richard still did open his eyes, then he remembered the guy. That walked out of Richard' room.
He stood up immediately and passed the same place the man passed when he was leaving. The team head tried searching for him but the man was nowhere to be found. It was obvious he already left.
The team head walked back to his dead cousin's room and the doctor had already covered him with a cloth to show that he was dead.
He remembered everything Richard told him before he died, and it was slowly becoming clear to him that his death is similar to the death of Manuel. The team head didn't enter the room again because he was too hurt to see his cousin dead.
The team head went back to Diego house.
'Where have you been?" Diego asked the team head the moment he walked into the house.
'I rushed Richard to the hospital when I noticed he wasn't dead." The team head explained to Diego.
Diego started laughing when he heard what the team head said to him.
'So where is he now?" Diego asked the team head, hey was quiet for a while before he finally sighed.
'He is dead." Diego turned back to look at him when the team head told him his cousin was dead.
'Ohh, you need to focus on your work now and forget the dead." Diego said to the team head in a heartless way.
The team head was about to walk away when he sighted the same guy he saw walking out of Richard' room.
The team head looked at Diego and he could finally understand what Richard was trying to tell him before he died.
'Why are you still here?" Diego asked the team head when he noticed the guy was not moving from where he was standing when they were done talking.
The team head lowered his head and walked away from Diego's presence.
While he was leaving he couldn't stop turning back to look at the man.
He finally left the room and shut the door. When he got to his room he sat on the bed and remembered everything Richard said to him.
'There was no lie in anything he said." The team head said to himself.
