"I feel nauseous," Winter let out.
"I'll get you some medicines," Zane informed her and went away.
Winter released a deep breath and rested her head on the counter. The loud music was giving her a migraine. They were currently attending the new year party at Cedric's mansion. Since coming here, she felt like she would throw up. There was still quite sometime before midnight, yet the party was going crazy.
Winter was grinding her forehead on the counter when a man in his thirties approached her and said, "Are you feeling alright?" Winter didn't bother replying. "Have this drink. This will help you feel good." The man walked away, leaving a glass of beige-colored drink on the counter.
Winter raised her head and examined the drink. It had a sweet floral scent to it, along with a faint metallic scent. "Should I drink this?" she asked the bartender, who nodded his head.
Being the naive person she was, she gulped it down, unaware of the cocaine mixed in it. As soon as the drink settled in her stomach, she could feel a part of her brain feeling relieved, her migraine disappearing. She didn't know why she was feeling so happy all of a sudden.
In the meantime, Zane came back to her. "Sorry, I couldn't find Cedric. Wanna take some rest in a room?"
"No, I want to take some fresh air. Let's go to the balcony." Winter dragged him through the hallway to the balcony, away from everyone else. "This feels nice," she breathed out, the cold breeze hitting her face. She leaned against the railing and hissed as her feet were hurting due to the high heels.
Zane sighed and made her sit on the single couch there. He started taking off her heels.
"What are you doing?" she asked as he started massaging her foot, which was starting to get blisters.
"Massaging them. Try wearing heels with open toes. It will help you feel more at ease. I'll tell Lucy to get you some ice too as you will be staying with her for the night," he told her.
A smile broke out on her face as she stared at his face, desires bubbling inside her. She was feeling somewhat high. Her mind was continuously telling her to do what she wanted to do the most at that moment.
"It's freezing out here. Let's go back inside after this," Zane said, shivering.
"Why, you don't want to stay here with me?" Winter said and pulled him closer to her by his tie. "Am I not enough to warm you up?"
"What—" he was cut off as her lips mashed against his as if she had been starving for weeks. She hungrily pulled him closer, her mouth open, tongue pushing past his clenched teeth to the moist space within.
Zane tried to protest at first as Winter was acting strange. This wasn't like her. She gripped his head firmly, deepening the kiss, as if to keep him from escaping, forcing him to give in. However, she tasted bitter, and there was a chemical-like smell in her mouth. That's when it hit him.
Zane pulled away from the kiss, still holding her by the waist, and said, "Did you take cocaine?"
"I don't know what that is. Just let me kiss you." Winter again leaned forward to kiss him but he pressed his palm on her lips.
"Are you sure you didn't have anything that tasted bitter or was white-pinkish colored?" he asked.
Winter sulked, thinking about such an incident. "Oh, yeah, I had this awesome drink from a man. I have been feeling so ecstatic since then. I feel like I'm over the moon." She giggled.
"Why would you even drink that, you idiot?" he scolded her.
"What? He was nice for doing that." She pouted.
"He gave you drugs," he tried to make her understand.
"Really? But shouldn't I be wanting to have more of that like they usually show on the TV?" she questioned.
"I guess so. You sure you don't feel like having more of that?" He checked for any exterior side effects on her skin.
"No. I just feel like kissing you like there's no tomorrow," she answered innocently.
"Really?" He raised an eyebrow in amusement. "You make it sound like I'm your addiction."
"As corny as it may sound, I would rather have you as my addiction than some white powder." With that, she again smashed her lips on his. But this time, he worked his mouth against hers too, their tongues battling back and forth like wrestlers, each trying to pin the other.
They both missed the new year countdown and fireworks as they drowned into each other's flavor.

With the new year eve being gone and the first week of January being passed, the winter vacation was over and the schools were reopened, welcoming the students back to hell.
Winter got down from her school bus and glanced at the school campus beside hers, only to find her boyfriend waving at her. She waved back at him with a bright smile on her face. He started typing something on his phone. After a second, her phone chimed.
Zane:
We don't have work today.
Let's go on a date after school
