��This dinner is going crazy, Weena,�� I whispered to Weena, who was sitting right next to me.
Tyran, Vexon, and Liam were talking about stuff that was beyond our understanding. At some point, Vexon and Tyran were trying to demean Liam, but either I or Weena would��ve interrupted and changed the topic to avoid the awkwardness.
��I know, right? It��s not the dinner, it��s the men who are crazy. What did we see in our husbands to fall for them?�� replied Weena, rolling her eyes in annoyance. ��Anyways, has Everley eaten dinner?��
��She didn��t but she ate lunch and snacks. I will take dinner for her and feed her. I am feeling so bad after raising my voice at her,�� I said, feeling heavy inside because of hurting my daughter. ��Will you take care of Allison when I go to Everley? I don��t want Allison to cry at that moment and if she did, then I have to go to her as well, which will hurt Everley more. But if you are there, you can take care of Allison.��
Weena smiled at me. ��Sure. Don��t worry.��
��This is really delicious, Ruby,�� Liam said, pointing at the food.
��Thank you,�� I smiled softly after saying it.
Then he went back to talk with Vexon and Tyran.
I glanced at Weena as a question came into my mind. ��Did you tell Tyran that you are pregnant?��
Her cheeks turned red at that instant, while she shook her head in denial. ��Not yet.��
��Why not? He will be very happy if you tell him.��
��I know, Ruby.�� She further spoke, ��I am just looking for the right time to tell him. I want him to be the happiest person living on the Earth when I will tell him about it. So, I am really nervous as well, thinking of his reaction.��
��Well, I and Vexon, we learned about my pregnancy at the same time and we were so happy. I am sure Tyran will be extremely happy as well.��
��Hope so,�� mumbled Weena.
I took a plate full of different items and got up. ��I will serve this to Eve,�� I said to everyone and saw Vexon nodding his head in my direction.
��Everley? Isn��t she your adopted daughter?�� questioned Liam and I didn��t like the way he said it. ��When will I meet her and Allison?��
��You mean my very own daughter?�� I corrected him and he nodded his head. ��I will bring the two of them down once Eve finishes her dinner. You can meet them then,�� I said and looked at Weena, who stood up as well.
��I will help Ruby,�� she said to Tyran and we made our way towards the elevator.
After we reached the second floor, I was going to Everley��s room while Weena went to Allison��s room.
I knocked on Everley��s door. ��May I come in, Ma��am?�� I asked her.
She was sitting on the floor, coloring something she drew. She looked at me and sulked, without responding to me and turned back to coloring.
Sighing, I stepped into the room and kept the plate on the nightstand. Then I pulled her on the bed to sit. She tried to wriggle free out of my grip but I held her strongly. ��Stop fighting with your mom,�� I told her and she sat next to me, on the bed. I caressed her hair, and this time, she didn��t push my hand away.
��I am the worst mother one can ever get,�� I started speaking dramatically and Everley looked at me, with a blank face. ��I yelled at my daughter. I am really the worst mother. I think I should tell Vexon to get another mother for her because she deserves better.�� Then I cupped her cheeks. ��Shall I bring a new mother for you?�� I kept a puppy face as I asked her.
Tears started to stream out of her eyes as she shook her head in denial.
With a smile plastered on my face, I pulled her to me and made her sit on my lap. ��I am sorry, Eve. Please forgive your mom.�� I wiped her tears.
��The baby will get hurt,�� she said, trying to get up from my lap, but I stopped her.
��The baby knows you will never hurt her,�� I informed her, ��And your new sister, Allison, she knows that as well.��
��No, she hates me.�� Everley crossed her arms against her chest.
��She doesn��t,�� I announced.
She inquired, ��Then why does she cry every time you are with me?��
��That is because she wants your attention and love. You only give your time to me and your dad. Allison feels lonely and she wants your love too. This is why she cries when you are just with me,�� I explained to her. ��Do you know, when I go to her alone, she keeps crying because she expects to see her elder sister as well. She needs her elder sister to be with her all the time and the upcoming baby needs you too.��
��Will Allie and the baby also cry when I don��t give them love?�� she asked innocently and I hummed in response.
��But make sure to give them equal love because if you don��t do that, they will keep fighting with each other. Do you want your siblings to fight with each other?��
She shook her head in denial and said, ��No, Mom. I want them to be united and fight together against others.��
I chortled, hearing her. This was what Vexon and his brothers used to do. I will raise my kids in a way that they don��t end up betraying each other and stay united forever.
��That is like my good girl,�� I said and took the plate from the nightstand. ��Now, finish dinner and never skip any food. If you do skip any meal, I will not talk to you.��
��Okay, Mom. I will eat timely. Pinky promise,�� she assured me and extended her tiny finger, which I shook with my tiny finger.
��I will feed the dinner to you quickly. Remember, how I told you about my friend Liam? He is here to meet you and Allison. Also, Tyran and Weena came as well.��
��Yay!�� She clapped her hands in excitement and ate the spoon full of rice.
Thank God, she wasn��t angry anymore and understood everything.

��Wow, she is so cute,�� Liam said after he took Allison in his arms.
We were in the living room right now, sitting and gossiping.
��What about me, Liam?�� Everley questioned, standing in front of Liam who chuckled hearing her.
Liam handed Allison back to Weena, who brought her downstairs, and made Everley sit on his lap. ��You are the cutest of all.�� He pulled her cheeks and Everley giggled.
��Did Everley understand what you explained to her?�� Vexon whispered to me.
��She did. And you should never stop me from eating after she eats her meals. I can��t stay with a full stomach when she is starving,�� I told him.
��Okay, as you say, Boss lady,�� he retorted.
��Do you want to go to the amusement park tomorrow?�� Liam asked Everley, who looked at me.
��Umm��I can��t go and Vexon��?�� I waited for him to answer.
Vexon checked his phone. ��I don��t have office tomorrow so I can accompany them,�� he said.
��Great! Then tomorrow, I, Vexon, and this cute angel will go to the amusement park,�� Liam announced and looked at Tyran and Weena. ��What about you guys?��
��I���� Tyran was cut off by Weena.
��We can��t go because I have something planned already for us.��
Tyran arched an eyebrow in amusement at his wife, while I gave a thumbs up to Weena because I understood what she meant. She was planning to tell him about her pregnancy to Tyran tomorrow.
��Okay, then.�� Liam looked at his wristwatch. ��I should go. Tomorrow, we can go at ten in the morning.��
��What about Eve��s school?�� I blurted out and Liam rolled his eyes.
��Skipping the school for a day won��t make her illiterate, Ruby. Come on,�� Liam mumbled and I looked at Vexon, who nodded his head, rubbing my hand in his big ones.
��Please, Mommy,�� Everley requested, giving me her puppy face. Those pretty green eyes of hers could convince anyone, but I wasn��t feeling good about letting her out of my sight. ��Please.��
��Please agree, Ruby. What��s the worst that can happen?�� Weena requested as well.
��Fine,�� I agreed at last, and Everley started jumping in happiness. Her happiness makes me happy and Weena is right. What��s the worst that can happen?
