"Snap out of it Maddy, Violet loves you. You're the one for her."
"Yeah, right, now I am listening to your advice. I need to rest, bye."
Been two weeks of ignoring Violet, we haven't said a word to each other, we don't sit together for lunch, and the group has to divide themselves because of us.
"I fucking hate this. I need to talk to her, but how?"
Violet POV
I hate this feeling. I hate not talking to Maddy; I miss her so much. Let me just let you know, I didn't accept Avery as my girlfriend, she's my friend, but she still flirts with me.
That girl doesn't want to give up. I already told her I wasn't interested, what more does she want?
"Hey, can we go out tonight?"
"Where?"
"My friends are having this party at their place, girls only."
"Oh, sure, I'd love to come."
"Perfect," she said a bit darkly.
"Hmm, can Dani come as well?"
"Oh, I can't make it. I have a date tonight."
"So, are you ready?"
"Yeah, let's go." Avery came later to pick me up.
"Wow, this place is huge, and there are a lot of people. Avery, you said it was girls only."
"I think they changed their mind. Come on, let's get inside."
People were drunk, and some were already stripping. Are they having sex in the kitchen?
"Avery, what kind of party is this? They look older."
"Oh, sorry," she said, handing me a drink. I drank it all, getting anxious. "I forgot to tell you that it's a college party."
"What?"
"Yep, and you won't be awake to find out what happened to you." She smirked while I felt drowsy and fell down. "Boys, do your job."
The next time I woke up, I felt pain all over my body, especially my private parts. I was naked. Oh my God, why can't I remember what happened? Where is Avery? Please, God, don't let it be.
"Avery," I called out.
"Oh, you're awake, finally. Thought you'll never wake."
"Why?" I asked.
"Why? You're asking me why? Don't you remember what you did to me? You humiliated me, and you know what? That is precisely what I'll do to you."
"I thought you loved me?"
"Love? Do you even know what love is? Nah, I'll destroy your image just as you did to me."
"What will you do?"
"Well, I have a video of you, you know, video of you having fun," she said, laughing so evil.
I was so scared, she left me there. I called my brother to come to pick me up.
"Violet? W-What happened to you? Where is Avery? She's supposed to be with you." I broke down crying while my brother wrapped his arm around me.
"T-They raped me," I said, hiccupping. "Please just take me home. I don't want to be here," I said, crying.
I must have fallen asleep the next time I woke up; I was on my bed. I heard murmurs downstairs and then yelling, I think my brothers are back. I went downstairs to see what was going on.
"Mami?" I asked, thinking I was seeing things. My Mom is home, even my Dad.
"Oh, baby." They came closer and hugged me while I cried again. Gosh, I am such a baby.
"Why are you here?"
"We heard what happened, princess. We want to be here for you."
"Am okay, Papi."
"Yeah, say that to the scars on your arm. We know you've been cutting yourself, Violet," my brother said.
"What the hell? Why would you check my body?"
"Come on, you were naked when I came to get you, remember? And that bitch, the day I get my hands on her, I'll strangle her for doing this to you."
"You cut yourself, baby. What's wrong?"
"Am tired, Mami; nobody wants me," I said, crying on her shoulder.
"Why would you say that?"
"It's true, Mami, it's like Violet is under a curse or something. Everyone she has a crush on rejects her. And, look at what the last one did to her. She made those guys touch her without her permission."
"How did you know that?" my Dad asked.
"It's true, Papi, s-she has a video of them touching me. She's going to leak the video in school on Monday."
"What?! We need to find this girl now," my brother Leo said.
"You think I haven't? I looked for the bitch everywhere, but she's hiding. We need to do something. We can't just let her humiliate our sister like this," Peter said.
"What is there to do? Let her leak the video."
"Why would you say that, princess?"
"It is the only thing she wants to do; she wants to get revenge after what I did to her."
"B-But--"
"Please, if you love me, you should let this go."
"But you were raped, baby; this needs to be reported."
"I already did, Papi. There's no need; I deserve it."
"No, you don't, baby, children make mistakes, and they are forgiven for it," my Mom says.
"Well, I'm paying for my crime as well," I said, standing up and going back to bed.
I stayed in bed, only going downstairs to eat and going back to bed. I couldn't even go to school.
My family took turns staying with me in my room, especially my brothers. They tried cheering me up, but nothing was working. I was just waiting for the storm to come, and it did because my brother got home so angry and he was breaking things.
Well, at least evidence was found, and the boys that did it were taken to the police station. I heard them talking about it downstairs. I didn't want to know what was going on. I just stayed in my room, crying, I wanted to cut myself, but my family took every sharp object in my room.
They made sure my door was open in case of anything.
I heard footsteps coming up. I know it's Maddy. I was sitting on my bed, my head was on my knee.
"If you've come to gloat, just get it over with," I said, turning to look at her. She was crying, tears falling from her eyes. Why would she be crying? I'm the one hurting, but she's the one crying. I'm confused; she hugged me.
"I should have been there. This is all my fault. I couldn't protect you."
