Alpha Liam has been watching over his pack for years with the help of his Luna Clara and his friend and beta Eric. With the help of these and a few other members of his pack, the town has been at peace for a long time.
But then something happened weeks ago that put the town into jeopardy.
The Luna was kidnapped and it threw the whole town into chaos, everyone was unable to comprehend what had happened.
With Luna out of his side, Alpha Liam became a hostile and formidable foe. He left no stone unturned just so he could find her (Luna Clara).
Eric could be seen running as fast as he could to get to Liam with his latest findings.
He ran at full speed with the hope that his findings would put his Alpha's mind at ease.
He pushed his door open and saw a worried and frantic Liam sitting on the floor trying to mask out Luna's scent but to no avail. Even though he marked her, it was still difficult to find her. While he was searching for her it was at this time Eric decided to barge in and this act made him really upset that he growled loudly and roared.
"Eric, what the hell do you think you are doing? Can't you see that I am losing my mind trying to find her? It's been 2 months now and I can't seem to find her" he punched the wall leaving a big hole in its surface...
"I just got some clues, I followed the trail back to the mountain, but then I saw something, something unusual and I couldn't quite put my finger on it, so I hurried back here so we could both go and check it out."
"Say no more, let's go" he didn't bother to take a change of clothes for later, he just changed into his wolf self and ran off as fast as any alpha would.
His beta was right beside him all through.
One thing Liam likes about his best friend Eric is that he never lets him down and it's like whatever was troubling himself troubles him (Eric) tenfold.
And so they ran and ran until they finally got to the mountain. Immediately he got there he knew his mate was here, he could see them struggling and this made him lose his senses. He needed something to vent his anger on and there was nothing at the moment.
Just then a rogue wolf was passing by, unfortunately for the poor wolf, he became Liam's prey.
He pounced on him brutally until he was no more. It had to lose its life for Liam not to lose sanity. More like it's either you or my kind of situation.
And so they searched all through the mountain and valley looking for any clue they could find that would give them even an atom of proof that would lead them straight to Clara's hideout but to no avail.
"Liam, I am so sorry buddy, I wish this trail would lead to her whereabouts but I only raise your hope falsely again. Forgive your stupid beta for raising your hopes for nothing"
"Hey, don't talk like that buddy, you did well. Her scent was fresh, meaning it wasn't long before she was held captive in this place, so maybe if we look hard enough we may find her soon. Don't blame yourself, you did well. I should be the one to be blamed, pal. She is my Luna and I can't seem to find her, I couldn't protect her, I couldn't be by her side when she needed me the most, Eric. So please do not blame yourself for my predicament, friend."
"Alpha enough she is my Luna too you know, she is the Luna of the pack, and everyone is affected by it back at camp. This is affecting every member in your pack. So enough, we will all do everything to make sure she comes back home unharmed."
"Thanks, Eric, you are the best beta any Alpha could ask for."
"Come on, it's getting pretty late, let's get you home."
"I don't want to leave, I need to search for her, and I feel like I am getting close to finding her"
"Liam, just go back to the camp, the pack needs its Alpha to stay sane, remember there are rogues lurking around. And with you away from the camp, the gammas will lose their morale. They need us back there"
"But my mate, Eric, what about her? She is in god knows where... Who knows she could be tortured. She is weak. I can't leave her trails to get cold. I have to stay and search, the pack will be just fine."
"Okay let's do this, I'll stay all through the night searching for any useful clue while you go get some rest back at camp. If I get any information I'll mind link with you or better yet run to you in a matter of seconds, trust your beta Alpha, we'll find her soon enough and whoever did this to our tribe will pay with their lives, I promise you"
"Okay take care beta"
"You know me, I always do."
He transformed into his wolf self and ran off.
Meanwhile back at camp, there was war brewing, gammas could be seen with rogues on the border. They were busy fighting with some rogues stronger than them in positions, strength, and reflexes. They couldn't defeat them that easily because they were just soldiers in training so also they were having a hard time, overpowering them, because they were weak and depressed and also because their Alpha, beta, and even deltas were not in camp at the moment, they suffered many injuries. As soon as they sighted their Alpha running at full speed to their rescue, this boosted their morale and they gathered strength and began fighting their opponents.
Alpha Liam jumped on one of the rogues and tore him from limb to limb, caught another, and struck that one down with just one blow. His anger needed to be vented, so he made do with the rogues trying to overpower his gammas all because he wasn't around.
'How did they know he wasn't around? That goes to show there is a traitor in their midst and he will find them and when he does, they will beg for death instead.' Thoughts like this filled his mind but he was in no mood to start looking for traitors in his camp. That is the least of his concerns at that moment.
While he was fighting on the battlefield, he sustained an injury and was scratched quite deeply so he was bleeding. But he paid no attention to it. His thoughts were far off from his personal feelings. After they successfully vanquished the rogues with his help they went home.
The injured gammas were taken to the healers back at camp, to be treated.
As soon as he came to camp he walked into his room to freshen up. After some hours the door to his room opened and a lady with blonde hair and green eyes walked in.
"Where have you been? Gabe and I have been looking everywhere for you." Jasmine, Alpha Liam's sister asked with all seriousness.
"Not now Jas, I am not in a good mood at the moment"
"You are hurt… why aren't you healing?"
"Look it's just a scratch I won't die from it you know"
"But still you need to get that looked into, I'll send for the healers they'll be here in a minute"
"Jas right now I just want to be left alone okay, can you do that for me?"
"Look here Liam, I know you are hurting but you have to keep yourself together, we can't lose our alpha at this critical time as well. We all Miss Luna Clara, but searching for her endlessly and leaving your pack vulnerable is uncalled for, you know? You sent the deltas away to the far east in search of your mate, not just that even the omegas you dispatched them to the north in search for Luna and now even the beta isn't anywhere around camp at the moment no doubt still in search for Clara. Am I wrong?"
"What would you have me do huh? Leave her alone out there, all because she is human huh? Well I can't do that, she is my mate and I will never stop searching for her even if it means dying I will never stop, never until she comes home to me Jasmine."
"Gabe is Clara's best friend since childhood. Do you think he has been himself since she was declared missing? She is and has been a part of him since like forever and to make things worse for a month and two weeks we haven't been in the same bed and to worsen things my condition isn't helping, I am going through emotional pain, so you need to keep your emotions in check cause I can't lose you too"
"Oh now I get it, you are worried about her because Gabe hasn't mated with you for one and a half months? Get out Jasmine, get out now before I do something I will later regret. Get out, get out now"
Liam roared. She shrinks in fear and runs out, after all, she is still a subject, even if Liam was her brother, the tendency of authority an alpha has on its subject was evident.
