"Come out I know you are in there," Clara said without turning to look at Liam
"How did you find that out? My lady is becoming more and more of a wolf herself."
"Why wouldn't I be able to know you are in there? Your perfume and the door cringing gave you away"
"Wow!! My Luna is becoming more and more attentive to her surroundings"
"Just shut up, it's because I caught you peeking at me that's why you came out of that spot or else you wouldn't"
"Okay truth was, I was afraid you would get mad at me if I showed my face so as not to feel your wrath I had to hide, am sorry babe"
"Whatever Liam, where is your tie?"
"Oh, I um... Here... I wanted you to tie it on for me so I um yeah"
"Ha-ha, suddenly you are tongue-tied huh?"
"Come on don't make fun of me, it's not my fault you are irresistible," Liam said
"Whatever come here let me tie the knot around your neck" Clara said
"Yes ma'am"
After dressing up Liam held Clara by the hand and said "shall we" Liam said
"Where are we going by the way?" Clara asked curiously
"It's a secret love, let's go it's just a casual party outside town, I wanted to introduce you to some of my partners" Liam lied
"Really okay then but do I look presentable enough I mean what if they say I'm a minor what if I embarrass you what if..."
"Hey you are perfect to me and that's all that matters," Liam said pecking her on the forehead
"Okay thanks for the reassurance" Clara said they both headed for the car
Eric was waiting for them
"You're going too?"
"But of course, I'm going as his Secretary" Eric lied
"Oh that makes sense sorry I asked," Clara said apologetically
"No need to apologize Luna beside you look beautiful" Eric complimented
"Oh thanks, Eric" Clara said smiling Liam could be seen glaring at Eric, and then he said through the mind link
"Are you trying to steal my girl?"
"Oh stop being jealous Liam it doesn't suit you," Eric said moving towards the car
"Well stop making me look jealous," Liam said
"Are you okay Liam, is something wrong?" Clara asked
"No nothing, let's go," Liam said, directing his words to Eric. Eric shake his head and opened the door for both of them and they got in and Eric sped off towards the hotel which was prepared for their date.
"We are here," Eric said
This time Liam took it upon himself to open the door for Clara he held her and she got down from the car
"Wow a five-star hotel your partners must be really rich," Clara said
"Just so you know you are the queen of this event tonight," Liam said
"Thanks, how come there isn't anyone here yet?"
"We came early that's a table come on let's sit," Liam said
"Wow!! This place is so beautiful it really is"
"Let's order something, what would you like to have?"
"Just juice would be fine"
"Okay, waiter get my lady a juice"
The female waiter who brought the juice began stealing glances at Liam and Clara noticed and stood up and said aloud
"Stop gushing at my man, he's mine and mine alone okay"
"Sorry ma'am" the waiter caught off guard said and then shyly ran off.
"Whoa!! My babe is quite overprotective of her property this is the best feeling ever"
"What?"
"Nothing"
"Am going upstairs to the balcony when the guests arrived let me know"
"Okay sweetheart"
As soon as Clara left Gabe showed up, saying
"It's time Liam"
"Okay"
With that said Gabe went out of sight and Liam followed behind her and knelt then called out to her
"Clara Cooper '' said Clara had to look back only to see Liam on one knee holding on to a box with a shiny object. She was shocked that it was her own engagement proposal.
She was dumbstruck at this revelation, she just stood there without knowing what else to do.
Since she was standing from afar a waiter had to guide her to where Liam was kneeling. When she got closer
"Clara Cooper, will you do me the honor of being my wife?"
"Um, Liam how. How..." Tears filled her eyes and she was dumbfounded.
Meanwhile, Gabe was out of sight videotaping this moment because it's going to be a great memory for both of them in the future. So he had to get this on camera, it's the best he could do for his best friend cause she likes keeping tabs on things so it would be best if she had something to look back to.
"Clara Cooper, will you do me the honor of being my wife?"
Amidst tears, she said an inaudible
"Yes" but it wasn't audible enough so all the waitress began shouting say yes yes say yes this motivated her to yell
"Yes, yes Liam I will marry you," Clara said with teary eyes and so many emotions.
Immediately Liam slipped the diamond ring into her finger and kissed her deeply on the lips, something he has always wanted to do.
'Her lips are so soft oh my goodness I will stay this way till eternity if only I could' Liam thought as he kissed Clara so hard
The loud cheering from the waiters made them break off the kiss.
Liam then look into her eyes and said,
"I love you, Clara, I love you so much"
"I love you so much, Liam"
"Wow wow wow!!! *claps* It's so good to see my little childhood friend all grown up and is engaged finally"
Gabe said while clapping and walking toward them both, immediately Clara saw him
He ran up to him and hugged him so tight and said
"Thank you, Gabe, it's just like what I have always wanted, thank you for making my engagement day be just the way we both dreamed about, I don't know what I will do without you"
"Oh Clara you deserve this and much more, also there is a wedding to plan as well and it will be just like you want and much more... Just to burst your bubble there is more"
"Oh Gabe thank you"
"Thank your husband-to-be, he put me up to this, anyways congratulations Luna Clara I better leave you with him," Gabe said and wanted to leave
Just then Eric who has been watching from afar came and said
"Congratulations to you little sis and Luna"
"You, why didn't you give me a heads up?"
"If I did I will be without a house because your fiancé over there will make that possible"
"Ha-ha silly, thank you both for making my day, memorable"
"You are most welcome"
"Okay enjoy your evening, by tomorrow we'll come to pick you up" Gabe and Eric left the couple and went home.
"Thanks, Liam for today and everything but don't pull a stunt like this again I nearly had a heart attack back there," Clara said hitting his chest slightly
"Ouch but you didn't, Anyways I love you Clara"
"I love you too," Clara said hugging him
"Come on my Luna, let's go see the surprise they made for us or you rather"
They both giggled and went towards the room prepared for them. Immediately Clara opened the door, she exclaimed
"Wow!! Liam looks at rose petals on the floor and bathtub too. Oh my goodness those two huge baby dolls, Gabe did this, he remembered oh my. He remembered everything, Liam. Oh no that's not true. Can you see that gigantic chocolate cake? Babe, can you see that?"
"You like it?"
"Like? You bet, I love it"
"Am glad you do sweetheart"
Clara was still exploring the place when she yelled in excitement.
"Those are a couple of T-shirts for us, we are truly a couple now?"
This took Liam by surprise, Gabe did a great job making his fiancée happy. So this made any little doubts he had about Gabe stealing his lady away from him disappear.
"Liam honey, I want to indulge myself in that cake"
"Whoa, slow down will you?"
"Nope, I have waited for a long time for this not waiting for one second more"
"Fine do what you want to do it's your night, whatever you say goes"
"Nope it's our night, you are my fiancé now you know," Clara said
Liam kept grinning from ear to ear seeing her happy like that.
Clara's POV
I am going to make this night memorable for me. Liam actually proposed to me? This is unbelievable, he actually knelt down and proposed to me, so I am officially his fiancée. Gabe and Eric are really something I didn't even guess they were up to something. They worked hard for me to be able to have this beautiful memory. They are my real family, I have never been this happy. Back at home, they act invincible. Everything I have always wanted Gabe did for me, except for one wish, the one wish I wanted more than the rest, the one wish that really mattered, which is to have my family with me.
On people's engagement their families will be at the corner of the rooms cheering for their own but where are they? Instead, they toss me aside.
They are such useless people, I am not sure they are my family, families don't do that on their own. They don't sell their kids off to live a comfortable life.
I hate them with passion, I never want to see them again, never again.
"Hey why you are so quiet, is something wrong?" Liam asked and came to sit by her side.
"Nothing is fine Liam," Clara said, feigning a smile, but her face betrayed her. There were tears on her face.
"Are those tears? What's wrong? Did I do something wrong, babe? Am so sorry, please don't cry Come here" Liam hugged her and she sobbed greatly and started saying amidst tears
"Liam, I hate them. I hate them so much"
"Shh...Shh...Quiet now, shh be quiet dear it's alright," Clara continued sobbing hard on Liam's shoulders.
"Liam, I hate them, how could they do this to me... They aren't here... They should be"
"It's alright am here" After much petting, she calmed down and was just sniffing.
Liam took her to the bathtub so she could wash up.
"Come on take your bath and change into that," he said pointing to the couple's t-shirts. And turned to leave but Clara held him and said
"Don't go, stay with me"
"Are you sure?"
"You are my man now so yeah bath with me"
So Liam pulled off his clothes and got into the bathtub
So they both washed each other's backs while they were at it Liam made her giggle so she could lighten up a little. He kept at it and her sadness became a thing of the past as they began splashing the soaps on themselves in there.
It was a long bath, for both of them.
After that Clara stood up out of the bathtub and Liam held onto her waist tightly and then turned her around and planted a deep kiss on her lips and they got smoochy and all that. After they broke off from their little escapade, Liam helped Clara on with her oversized couple T-shirt, and then Clara did likewise.
And then in one swoop he lifted her and took her to the big bed. It was their night after all.
He climbed on top of her and kissed her deeply on her lips. Cole surely took over. He was about to go down there, but Liam was back in control after fighting with Cole so as not to touch her until their wedding night because that's what's important for all women.
"Cole come on don't touch her yet, she may not like it"
"But she is ours now"
"Yeah, she is but acts mature even if you aren't" Liam retorted sharply at Cole so he backed down fuming.
Liam then said, 'that's it, Atta boy"
One thing about Cole is he can be a lot but he can also be a reasonable wolf at times.
Romance will do for now, so after that romantic session Liam said to Clara
"Baby, I love you I will never be sad anymore, I will always be here for you okay?"
"Thanks, Liam I am sorry I cried and ruined our night"
"Shh... You didn't ruin it I have fun tonight with you baby come on sleep now my body is yours"
"Thanks for this, it's so beautiful" Clara nudged at the ring on her finger.
"No thank you for accepting it," Liam said
"Come on am sure there are people who would accept it as well"
"You are the perfect match for me and the only one who deserves to wear it"
"Awwn you are being cheesy"
"But am telling you the truth, for saying I'm lying it's your turn to cheese me up"
"How?"
"You'll kiss me"
"Nope" Clara protested covering her lips while Liam did everything to uncover those soft lips
And when he succeeded he looked straight into her eyes and said,
"Damn you are beautiful"
With that, he kissed her until he couldn't help but let those lips rest for the night. After which they both cuddled and drifted to sleep in each other's arms.
