Alpha Liam kept throwing tantrums due to the words Clara said to him the other day, it's been two weeks and she didn't even call him or anything. He missed her so much that he couldn't sleep for days, he kept looking at the portraits they took, he just can't seem to get over the fact that they are both not talking to each other at the moment. He needs to be by her side to stay sane because he is losing his mind. Eric, his beta and friend, has tried all he humanly could to soothe him but to no avail.
He just had to see her again even if it was from afar, so he went to her home. Sneaking in through her balcony, only to find her on the bed sleeping while holding his portrait on her chest she must have been missing him too but her pride wouldn't let her call on him. Clara is the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. And it was evident tonight when she was sleeping carefree without any worries in the world. He sat beside her quietly so as not to make a sound. He really couldn't bear staying away from her just because of his nature. Seeing that she was sad about the revelation he had made previously, he somewhat regretted having shown her his other self. It was the first time he regretted being a wolf. He stayed admiring his mate for hours because he wasn't sure when he'll have the chance of seeing her this way again.
He was about to leave when a hand caught him, it was Clara's.
"Liam, what are you doing here so late at night?"
"I miss you, Clara, I just needed to see you again"
"I thought I told you to stay away from me Liam?"
"I tried doing that, but here I am. I just can't do it"
"Get out, Liam, just go. I don't ever want to see you again"
This time Liam got on his knees and said
"If you leave me, I will die Clara"
"Then go ahead and die Liam do whatever you want to do I hate you"
"Clara just stop, please I beg you, don't do this to me. I can't live without you, I mean it. You are my mate, we can't stay apart from each other for long... Please don't leave me I beg of you"
"I'll think about that, just go Liam, I'll call you when I am ready"
Clara said boldly hiding the fact that she really wants to be in his arms.
"Goodnight my beautiful goddess, sweet dreams"
In the morning she called Gabe to come over and as soon as he showed up. She hugged him affectionately and she missed her best friend. She just wants someone to talk to who else but Gabe?
"Hey, Clara am so sorry if I hurt you"
"No Gabe don't apologize I should be the one to do that, you did nothing wrong. So I am sorry too, I should have been more understanding, if I were in your shoes I would have done the same, so I am so sorry Gabe, for the words I said. I know I hurt you pretty bad by my actions"
"But still I should have told you earlier"
"No, don't say that you did great telling me when you were comfortable doing that. So don't you say another word?"
"Thank you Clara for forgiving me"
"But of course, why wouldn't I do that? I care about you so much Gabe you are my family"
"So tell me, I want to know more about your other self-care to share with me more about werewolf stuff?"
"Okay I will, what would you like to know?"
"Everything there is to know about werewolves"
"Alright, let's start"

So Gabe began telling her everything he knows about his kind. Clara was listening with all manner of seriousness.
'Wow!! That's a lot to take in, is that all?
"Yeah, anything specific you want to know?"
"Truly, Liam came last night while I was fast asleep on my bed, he knelt depressed to beg for my forgiveness and apologized for hurting me and he said lots of other things"
"Indeed, like what exactly?"
"He said something about me being his mate again. What does it mean?"
"Okay, I will just give you a hint but only Liam can explain more about that to you okay?"
"Okay"
"When a person is a mate to a wolf it means, you are destined to be his wife. And that's never going to change. It also means you and they will be bonded, you will both be drawn to each other and that's not going to change"
"But then how come, I mean how that is possible? I am not one of you, but a human"
"That, I do not know dear. It's actually news to me because I thought all the mates of wolves are wolves themselves"
"So if I don't be with him, he won't be with any other person?"
"Yeah, it means he won't be and might have never been. Wolves are that loyal to each other except the ones who have no sense of patience to actually wait to find their mates"
"So you mean he has never had a girlfriend before?"
"Most likely, but I believe he is the only one who can tell you about that."
"Should I go with him, Gabe?
"I believe that is up to you Clara, but try to find it in your heart to forgive him. It took a lot of courage on his part to disclose this part of himself to you. So the least you can do is be glad he did, it means he values you and wouldn't want to keep secrets from you. Which is a good start."
"Thank you, Gabe... I really appreciate you. I will think about it and call him later"
"Okay good"
"Mind if I ask one more question?" Clara asked again
"Ha-ha, when have you ever not asked one? Of course, you can"
"What about you, have you got a mate? Since every wolf has one who is yours?"
"What? I don't think I do even if I did have one I am yet to find that out because I am still learning the ropes"
"Ha-ha someone is blushing, look at you your face is all red," Clara said
"Don't make me chase you around the room"
Clara brings out her tongue mockingly and Gabe threw a pillow at her
He is glad they are back to being inseparable.

"Unfortunately for you, I bring neither. You have to listen to the day's report, whether you like it or not. I heard Alpha T from our enemy pack will be making a big sale soon"
"I don't have time for that, it's not my business so long he doesn't touch any from my pack he can do whatever he likes"
"Okay go take a shower, you stink terribly"
With that said, Eric left Liam alone and went to the training ground for his daily routine. While Liam held onto his phone hoping Clara would call soon enough.
