I didn't touch the food he made.
When I went downstairs to take out the trash, Lucas's luxury car was still parked downstairs.
I threw the trash out right in front of him. As I left, I called "Baby" from my phone.
"Lucas, let's go shopping this weekend."
Zanen chuckled lightly on the other end of the line.
"Vivian, you really have gotten addicted to this game."
I deliberately smiled sweetly. "Alright, see you tomorrow, Baby."
Lucas turned the steering wheel and finally drove off.
I hung up the phone and fell into a peaceful sleep.
Work had been non-stop, and when the weekend finally gave me a chance to sleep in, I was woken up by a call from Zanen.
"Weren't we supposed to go shopping? I'm downstairs."
I rubbed my messy hair and opened the curtains. The same place where Lucas had been reluctant to leave the other day, Zanen was now leaning against his car, waving at me.
When I slid into the passenger seat, I yawned. "Lucas wouldn't take me shopping."
He had always just said things casually.
Back in school, he'd occasionally go with me to the night market.
But after graduation, I didn't even get that chance anymore.
Zanen leaned closer, reaching for my seatbelt.
"He's busy arguing with Sebastian."
I raised an eyebrow, and Zanen mimicked me. "You didn't know?"
Actually, I didn't.
Since the day Lucas came over and cooked for me, I hadn't seen him in a while. I'd heard that recently he hadn't even been going to bars. I wondered if he had really changed his ways.
